План-конспект  урока  английского  языка  в  7  классе по  теме «Идеальная  семья».

Цели  урока: продемонстрировать речевую  и языковую  компетенцию

                        учащихся  по  теме  « Семья»,

                        расширить  их  социокультурные  знания  по  теме ,

                       показать   роль  и  значение  семьи в  обществе ,

                      сформировать  положительный  образ  семьи.

Задачи  урока  :

                           1.Осуществить  контроль  сформированных  речевых  навыков  в  области  говорения  по  теме  «Семья»

                          2.Сформировать  умение  аргументированного  прогнозирования

                         3.Показать  результат  проектной  деятельности  по  заданной          теме.

T.  Today  our  topic  for  discussion  is  a  family. What   is it  a  family?  At  first

sight it  may  seem  to  you  that  the  topic is  simple  and  even  not  very  important. I’m  sure  that  by  the  end  of  the  lesson  you’ll  have  understood

That a  friendly  family  is  one  of  the  things  that  makes  people  healthy  and  happy.

You’ll  agree  that a  group  of  people  having the  same  name  and  sitting  together  in  front  of  the  TV set  is  not  yet  a  family .If  you  look  up the  word

in  the  dictionary  you’ll  read  that  a  family  is  a  group  of  people  related  by  blood  or  marriage.

it   consists  of a  parent  or  parents, children  and  close  relatives. They   are

probably   the  most  important  people  in  your  life.

  So  during  the  lesson  try  to  answer  the  following  questions( the  questions  are  written  on  the  blackboard )

1  .What   helps  to  unite  the  family?

2  .What   problems  does  the  family  face?

3  .What   an  ideal    family  like?                                                                

Now, I’ll  come  to  Know  how  many  names of  the  relatives  you  know. So, whose  family  tree  will  be  the  biggest  that  team will  win.

( the  students  are  divided  into  3  teams ,  draw  a  family  tree  and  write  down  as  many  words  as  they  remember)

   Choose  one  of  the  relatives  and  describe  him  and  her. What   does  she/he  

look  like ?  What  is  she/ he like ?

P1. I’ve  got  a little  brother. He  is  just  a baby. Everybody   loves  him  very  much. You can’t  help  admiring  him.He  is  tidy  with  his  short  arms  and  legs. His  cheeks  are  round  and  pink. His  hair  is  fair. He  is  bouncy  boy. My  brother  is  the  prettiest  child  in  the world  without  any  doubt.

P2. I’d  like to  tell  you  about  my  uncle. His  name  is  Andrew. Не is 32. He  is

a  nice  man  with  a  curly hair and  light  blue eyes. He  looks  very  tidy , clean  and  neat. He  is  mad  about  computers . He is  clever  and  creative. I’m never  bored  with  him.I  can  rely  on  him  and  he’ll  stand  by  me  no  matter  what.

P3.  My  granny  is  the  kindest   woman  in  the  world . She  is  55  but  she  looks  much  younger. She is  very  cheerful  and  gives  me  all  her  love  and  care. She  is  a  good  cook  and  enjoys  cooking  pies  and cakes. They  are  always  so  tasty., She is  easy  to  get  along  with. She  is  a  clever  woman  with  a  rich  imagination  and  a  good  sense  of  humor.  I  love  her  very  much.

T. When  someone  says  that  you  are  just  like  mum and dad , do you  like  it ?

Do  you  try  more to  be  like  your  parents  or  to  be  different  from them ?

P. As  for  ме  I  am happy  that I have my  mum. She is  the  kindest person.

She  is  slim  and  charming.  She  has dark thick  hair  and  green  eyes. She  is a  real  beauty. She  looks  like  a  film star. People  say, I’m  pretty. We  look alike.

P.I  think  I’m  lucky. I  have  both  parents. To  say  more my  dad  is  a  superman. He  is  strong, brave, clever  and  funny. He can  ride  a  car,  swim play  football  and  hockey. He can  play  the  piano  and  even  dance.

P.Some  people  say

I  look  like  mother

Some  people  say  

I  look  like  aunt  Be

Some  people  say  

I  look  like  father

But  I  want  to  look  like  me.

T.In  English  and  Russian   languages  there  are  a lot  of  proverbs  connected

With  a  family. Which  proverbs  are  close  in  meaning? Give  the  Russian  equivalents.

1.As  the  baker  -so the  buns  as  the  father  so  the sons.

2. As  the  tree-  so  the  fruit.

3.Many  a good  father  hath  but  a bad  son.

4. Like  father  like  son.

5 There is  a  black  sheep  in  every  flock.

So  very  often  we  take  after  our  parents both  in  appearance  and  character.

It’s  quite natural. They  are  our  nearest  and  dearest,  aren’t  they?

P.Yes, they  are. Mothers  and  fathers  are very  important .They  raise  their  children  from  babies  to  adults with  love  and  care. They  show  their  children  the  role  they  must  play  to  be  good  people. They  children  to  have  respect  to  others.Parents  also  make  sure  that  their  children  go  to  school.

   They  work  very  hard  to  unite  a family. They  try  to  set  a  good   example  to  show what   is  good  for their  children. In  return  the  parents  do  not  ask  for  much.

Most  people  have  happy  memories  of  their  parents.

T.  Small  wonder that  in  the  USA  there are two  special  days  to  honour  parents  Mother’s  Day  and  Father’s  Day.

Listen  to  the  story  and  be  ready  to  answer  the  following  questions.

1. When  do  people  in  the  USA  celebrate  these holidays?
2. Why  do  they  celebrate  them?
3. What  flowers do  they  wear  and  what  do  they  symbolize?  

4. How  is  Mother’s  Day  celebrated?
5. How  is  Father’s  Day  celebrated?

P.  People  in  the  USA  honor  their  parents  with  special  days: Mother’s  Day  on  the  second  Sunday   in  May  and  Father’s  Day on  the  third Sunday  in  June. These days  are  set  aside  to  show  love  and  respect  to  parents.

These two  special  days  are  celebrated  in  many  different ways .On  Mother’s  Day  People  wear  carnations,  a  red  one  symbolizes  a  living  mother .A  white  one  shows that  the  mother  is dead. Many  people  attend  religious  services  to  honor  parents. It  is also  a  day  when  people  whose parents are  dead  visit  the cemetery. On  these days families  gettogether  at  home  as  well  as  in  restaurants. They  often  have  outdoors barbecues  for  Father’s  Day. These  are days of  fun  and  good  feelings  and  memories.

T. Today  a family  is facing  a lot  of  problems.

Drug    addiction

            Alcohol  addiction

Housing  shortage        

                Money  shortage

     What  will  help  to  unite  the  family ?

P.  The  members  of  the  family  should  share  household  duties .As  for me I  heip  my  mum

about  the  house. I  wash  the  dishes, clean   my  room<  water  the  flowers  ,take  our  dog  for  a walk.

P.My  mum  is  a  housewife.  She  does  practically  everything  at  home. But  we  spend  our  free time  together.

P.  My  Dad  is  a  handy  man.  He  can  repair  and  mends  everything.  But  he  is  always  ready  to  help  mum  in  the  kitchen.

T.Do  your  parents  have  much,  a little  or  nothing  in  common? What  are  their  hobbies  and  interests?

P Oh,  my  mum  is  fond  of  watching  TV serials. She  finds  them  exiting. My  dad  hates them. He  enjoys  sports 6 boxing, football,  basketball.  My  mum  thinks  it’s  a  waste  of  time.  Here  they  have  nothing  in  common. But  they  both  have  the  same  views  on  my  up-bringing and  education. We  like  to  spend  time  together.  We  travel  a  lot.

T. Now  it’s  time  to  sum  up. Read  and  say  which  of  these  activities  may  unite  the  people  in  the  family  and make  them  a  friendly  strong  unit  and  which  don’t.

   1. Going  on  trips  together

   2 .Discussing  all  the family  plans  together

   3. Visiting   museums , theatres, exhibitions  and  exchanging  opinions  about  them.

  4. Showing  no  interest  in  what    the  others  like

  5. Helping  each  other  in  everything

  6  .Sharing  the  same  joys  and  troubles

 7. Remaining   indifferent  to  what  happen  to  the  others.

  A problem  for  discussion.

      Have  you  ever  heard  of  computing  dating?

 So compare  the  forms  filled  in  by  Mr. Black  and  Miss  White.  Say

1. If  the  computer  will  match  them
2. If  they  could  be  a  good  family.  .

T. So , say what emotions, thoughts  and  ideas , the  lesson has  evoked in  you.

P.1  I  liked  the  lesson.  It’s  good when  the  family is  friendly.

P.2  I  think  the  discussion  was  very  important. No  matter  how  old  you are a  family  supports  you, encourages  you  in  what  you  do  and  brightens  your life ,  your childhood.

P.3  The  lesson  was interesting  and  useful.  Teenagers  have a  lot  of  problems  in  families.  We  need  to learn  how to  overcome difficulties  and  resolve conflicts, we  must  appreciate  our    nearest  and  dearest.
