Пояснительная записка

 В соответствии с нормами и требованиями государственного образовательного стандарта образования введён национально-региональный компонент и в преподавание иностранного языка. Данный материал позволит знакомить учащихся с известной личностью родного края. Работа с текстом заключается с заданиями предтекстовым, текстовым и послетекстовыми. Предтекстовые задания направлен на определение темы и снятия трудностей. Текстовые задания направлены на работу с текстом. А послетекстовые задания направленны на отработку навыков чтения и  позволяющие проверить понимание прочитанного. Задания творческого характера направлены на формирование навыков устной речи. Задания подобного рода не только обеспечивают школьников  необходимой информацией, расширяя их кругозор, но и стимулируют их выражать собственное мнение. 

Данный дидактический материал разработан для учащихся 9-х классов общеобразовательных школ. При организации работы с краеведческим материалом предполагается использование работы в парах, группах, а также выполнение индивидуальных заданий.

Smirnov Alexander Vasilievich

(1854-1919)

He was born on September 7, 1854 in the village of Vashki, Vladimir province (now Yaroslavl region). He received his initial education at the Pereyaslav School, later studied at Warsaw and Moscow universities.

Friendship and joint work with A.V. Skalon, a connoisseur of Russian literature, publisher of A. Herzen's works, played a large role in the life of A.V. Smirnov. Together they decided to create a capital bibliographic dictionary and repertoire of Russian books and articles. They called the work the name of the legendary monster "Leviathan."

But this work did not see the light: publishers did not have enough funds to issue a dictionary.

Since 1882, A.V. Smirnov was a doctor and  practiced in Sudogodsky district. At the same time, he spoke with articles in the Moscow newspaper Modern News, as well as in Russian Antiquity and in Vladimir Provincial Gazette. Of great interest are the bibliographic essays of A. V. Smirnov about F. M. Dostoevsky, N. I. Pirogov, A. F. Pisemsky, N. E. Saltykov-Shched.

In the Vladimir Scientific Archival Commission, A.V. Smirnov collaborated with such large scientists as S. A. Wengerov, P. I. Bartenev, V. I. Sreznevsky and others. During this period, he writes his bibliographic essays about V. D. Nefedov, A. N. Ostrovsky and A. P. Chekhov.

For the Vladimir newspaper A.V. Smirnov wrote about our fellow countrymen for many years. From these articles the book "Natives and Figures of the Vladimir Province" (five issues) was compiled. The book of A.V. Smirnov gives valuable information about people of the local region. Curious, for example, are creative portraits of Vladimir journalists, writers, scientists (Sumarokova, Manna, Tikhonravov and many others). The historical and cultural significance of the dictionary of A.V. Smirnov is not in doubt.

In Vladimir, A.V. Smirnov brilliantly staged bibliographic work. He owns the "Catalog of the Library of the Vladimir Collection." The fiction of over forty Russian magazines over the different years of their publication is taken into account here. It was a kind of key to all provincial libraries.

During his life, A.V. Smirnov published over four hundred scientific works. Currently, the archive of A.V. Smirnov is located at the Institute of Russian Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation. Some of his materials are stored in the State Archive of the Vladimir Region.

A.V. Smirnov rightfully occupies a prominent place among Russian bibliographers.
