Пояснительная записка
Данный урок по теме «9th May» («День Победы») посвящен 75-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне и проходит в форме интеграции двух предметов - английского языка и технологии в 6 классе (12-13 лет). Праздник 9 Мая - это праздник Великой Победы, которая останется навсегда в памяти любого русского человека! Великая Отечественная война явилась сложнейшим испытанием для народа нашей страны. В наших силах сделать так, чтобы подвиги наших прадедов помнили и чтили будущие поколения.
Цель урока: формирование патриотизма и культуры межнациональных отношений, которые имеют огромное значение в социально-гражданском и духовном развитии личности ученика. Эта важнейшая составная часть воспитательного процесса в современном образовании. На уроке используются разнообразные методические приемы, разные формы работы. В ходе выполнения заданий проверяется усвоенный материал, на основе которого идет осмысление нового. В конце урока каждый ученик изготавливают брошь из георгиевской ленточки.
Задачи:
-формирование интереса к истории своей страны;
- развитие чувства гражданственности и патриотизма через социализацию личности;
-воспитание любви к Родине;
-выявление творческого потенциала учащихся

Этот открытый урок показывался в рамках недели английского языка в кадетском классе с целью того, чтобы ребята смогли больше прочувствовать всё то, через что пришлось пройти всем гражданам нашей страны в годы Великой Отечественной войны.
Ожидаемый результат:
- Пополнится словарь, дети узнают произведения художественной литературы по военной тематике и песни военных лет.
- Появится чувства гордости за стойкость и самоотверженность нашего народа в период Великой Отечественной войны.

I. Introduction.
Teacher: Good day, dear сolleagues ! Good day, dear cadets!

Teacher: What month is it now?
Pupil answers this question (Itʼs May).
Teacher: What holiday do people celebrate in May? I think our guys will answer your question. You have a puzzle on your desks. You make puzzle to get a picture. Name these items in Russian.
Every group makes puzzle to get a picture: a medal, the St. George's ribbon.
Teacher: 1. What holiday is connected with these items?
2. What’s the topic of our lesson today?
Pupils answers this questions. The topic of our lesson is on the screen.
Teacher: At the end of the lesson you will need to evaluate yourself how you worked at the lesson and fill in the table. I hope you’ll like our today’s lesson and have a good time. Now let’s start.
ΙΙΙ. The main part of the lesson.
- Teacher: Today we are going to speak about the Great Patriotic War, because this year (2020) is the 75th year from the Victory day.
Many poems and songs are dedicated to the war. Violet will read you a poem by Constantine Simonov in English and you need to find a suitable name, which is on the screen and translated into Russian.

Teacher: Victory Day is the main national holiday in Russia. Look at the text . It is on the desk. Let’s read some information about the traditions of celebrating. And you can share this information with your English-speaking countries. … read the text and find words which are similar on sounding to the Russian words (The text about Victory Day is projected onto the screen).

In Russia and other countries Victory Day, or 9th May, is one of the great holidays of the year. It is a holiday of all people. In all towns there are decorations, flags and posters in the streets, in the shop windows and on the front of large buildings. On Victory Day morning there are meetings and demonstrations of the veterans who fought in the Great Patriotic War. On that day there is military parade in all big cities of our country. Flowers and souvenirs are given to those who took part in the Great Patriotic War. There are a lot of people in the streets and squares, at theatres, cinemas and concert halls. They are all celebrating their holiday. Many people go to see their friends or go for walks in the parks. In the evening there is a holiday salute and a minute of silence to remember all those who did not come back from the war.
Teacher: And now do the next task. Mark the sentences true or false.
Every student from the group read a sentences and answer.

- Teacher: Let’s raise the patriotic spirit at this lesson and sing a popular song not only in our country but also in other countries. It is called «Katyusha» (The words of song are on the screen).

- Teacher: I have two envelopes for you. Try to make up the words from these letters. Show us your word. Join your words to get word –combination. You have met this word at the beginning of the lesson.
Every group make up your word from the letters («St. George's» is for the first group, «ribbon» is for the second group ) and join their words to get word –combination.
Teacher: You guessed the words. And now in the next task you have to find an object that is more related to this word. What can we use it for?

Заключение
Анализируя урок «9 Мая», следует отметить, что он прошел на высоком уровне, был наглядно и информационно насыщен. Ученики были активны в разных формах работы, темой урока заинтересовались, особенно, когда в конце урока делали георгиевскую ленточку. Проведение такого рода урока - это в первую очередь дань памяти и уважения тем, кто погиб, отдавая свою жизнь за свободу своей Родины. Здесь происходит становление собственной гражданской позиции каждого участника, формирование у детей чувства гордости за свой народ, за свою страну, ребята приобретают опыт гражданского мужества и патриотизма.
