Тема урока: Спорт в нашей жизни: развитие навыков устной речи .          

Цели урока:

Образовательные: продолжать совершенствовать лексико-грамматические навыки чтения, аудирования и говорения по теме урока.

Развивающие: развивать мышление, память, самостоятельность, развивать интеллект и познавательные способности.

Воспитательные: формировать культуру общения на английском языке, формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка.

Практической целью урока является: совершенствование лексико-грамматического навыка речи по данной теме, развитие навыков аудирования, устной речи. Оборудование: рисунки, раздаточный материал, слайдовая презентация, видео.

Ход урока

1. Приветствие. Организационный момент. Постановка цели.

Teacher: Good afternoon boys and girls. I am glad to see you. How are you today? Today we have some guests on our lesson. I hope that we’ll work very hard and well today. Well, let’s begin our lesson.   Now please  watch  attentively some video and guess about the theme of our lesson. Very well,t oday we are going to speak about sport, about  different kinds of sports and the sports you enjoy doing. Before we will start work with our topic, let’s check up your home task. At home you wrote short essay about nature. Ok, thank you. I’ll check up another works on the next lesson. And of course if we want to  go in for sport we must know that all kinds of sport and games depend on seasons, weather and nature. Some kinds of sport we can use all the year round, but some of them we can’t. For example, we can ski only in winter when we have a lot of snow. We  can play football or do athletics all year around.

I would like you to look at the board. Can you read the English words?

Tell me please,what words and word combinations have we read? Yes , it is the names of different sports. I hope, that you know the meaning these words. Because you began to study about sport from primary school.

 A great number of people don’t go in for sports. Some of them realize that sport is useful but prefer watching sport on TV to going in for it themselves. And what about you?

                Now I’d like to ask you some questions about sport and sport activities

• Do you like sport?
• Do you prefer going in for sports or watching it on TV?
• What is your favourite sport?

3. Совершенствование лексических навыков  говорения и письма.

1. Look at the screen and name these kinds of sport (слайды)

2. Now I’d like to tell you about some extreme kinds of sport. I hope it will be interesting for you.

Bungee jumping is jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. The tall structure is usually a fixed object, such as a building or bridge.

Skydiving, also known as parachuting, is the activity of performing acrobatics

during freefall.

Snowboarding is an activity or sport of standing on a short wide board and moving very fast down a hill covered with snow.

Ice diving is an extreme sport in which you dive through a hole into a very cold sea that has ice on the top.

White water rafting is a sport or activity of moving a rubber boat through water and round rocks in a river that is flowing very fast.

Scuba-diving is a sport or activity of swimming underwater with a scuba.

Surfing is a sport or activity of standing on a long flat board and moving across waves in the sea.

3. Say which of them are sports  and which of them are games.

Skiing, skating, football, rugby, rowing, horseracing, basketball, golf, running, high jumping, cricket, ice hockey, badminton, tennis, baseball. (слайд)

4.And now we are going to do some lexical exercises in written form.

1). Correct these words:

Atletics, daiving, hokey, footboll.

2). Put the missing letters in:

Ice sk…ting, han… gl…ding, …udo, bask…tball.

3). Make the words up using these letters:

folg, isnten, tsankig, lavllyoble.

5. Now find exercise 2 on page 253.Guess what sports  and games are described here.

4. Совершенствование  навыков устной речи.

Let’s divide into groups. You must discuss about different sports and games together .The 1st group will think and tell us about the most beautiful and the most interesting to watch sports and games  , the second group tell us about the the most useful for health and the most popular.
