Food Fright

Doctors in Britain are worried because British teenagers eat a lot of crisps, sweets and fat food. Most teenagers don’t have enough fruit or vegetables and more than one million British schoolchildren are overweight.

Some teenagers say that they don’t have time to eat good food, but kids who have a poor diet often have health problems when they are older. Fast food is typical of American’s diet, it was born there. American fast food is now part of life all over the world. McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Burger King have restaurants in many countries on all the continents.

The only good thing about fast food is its low price. In fact, a steady diet of burgers, fries and cola doesn’t fill your body with vitamins and minerals you need to stay healthy. Fast food is rich in calories but it doesn’t have many important nutrients (питательные вещества).

Now doctors give young people books and games about food diet. Having healthy, well-balanced diet can help you feel better and live longer.

Критерии проверки

Итоговая контрольная работа состоит из двух частей: письменной (задания 1–5, включающие задания по аудированию, чтению, письменной речи, а также задания на контроль лексико-грамматических навыков);  устной (задание 6, содержащее условный диалог-расспрос на заданную тему).

В контрольной работе проверяется иноязычная коммуникативная компетенция учащихся 6 класса. Работа нацелена на проверку речевых умений учеников в четырех видах речевой деятельности (аудировании, чтении, письме, говорении).

Максимально за данную работу ученик 6 класса может получить 47 балла, из них 5 баллов за аудирование, 7 баллов за выполнение заданий по чтению, 21 балл за лексико-грамматический тест, 9 баллов за задание по письму и 5 баллов за устный опрос.

За верное выполнение каждого задания с выбором ответа ученик получает 1 балл. За неверный ответ или отсутствие ответа выставляется 0 баллов.

В задании 1 и 3 оценивается каждое правильно установленное соответствие. В задании 2 оценивается каждый верный ответ на каждый из 14 тестовых вопросов. В задании 4 выставляется балл за каждое правильно отмеченное утверждение (верно-неверно).

Задание 5 подразумевает практическое умение написать письмо. В данном задании ученикам предлагается шаблон написания письма и три вопроса, на которые нужно ответить. Письмо оценивается по трём критериям – решение коммуникативной задачи, лексико-грамматическое оформление текста и орфография и пунктуация. Каждый критерий оценивается максимум в 3 балла.

За первый критерий ставится 3 балла, если даны полные ответы на три заданных вопроса, правильно дополнен шаблон письма. Данный критерий оценивается в 2 балла, если даны ответы на три заданных вопроса, НО на один вопрос дан неполный ответ, есть 1–2 нарушения в стилевом оформлении письма. 1 балл ставится, если даны ответы на заданные вопросы, НО на два вопроса даны неполные ответы ИЛИ ответ на один вопрос отсутствует, имеется более 2-х нарушений в стилевом оформлении письма. Письмо оценивается в 0 баллов, если отсутствуют ответы на два вопроса ИЛИ письмо не соответствует поставленной коммуникативной задаче ИЛИ текст письма не соответствует требуемому объему.

Лексико – грамматическое оформление текста оценивается в 3 балла, если использованы разнообразная лексика и грамматические структуры, соответствующие поставленной коммуникативной задаче (допускается не более 2-х языковых ошибок, не затрудняющих понимание), в 2 балла, если имеются языковые ошибки, не затрудняющие понимание (допускается не более 3-х негрубых языковых ошибок) ИЛИ языковые ошибки отсутствуют, но используются лексические единицы и грамматические структуры только элементарного уровня, в 1 балл, если имеются языковые ошибки, не затрудняющие понимание (допускается не более 4 негрубых языковых ошибок) И/ИЛИ допущены языковые ошибки, которые затрудняют понимание (не более 1–2 грубых ошибок)), в 0 баллов, если допущены многочисленные языковые ошибки, которые затрудняют понимание текста.

Третий критерий оценивается в 3 балла, если орфографические и пунктуационные ошибки практически отсутствуют (допускается не более 1-й, не затрудняющей понимание текста), в 2 балла, если допущенные орфографические и пунктуационные ошибки не затрудняют понимание (допускается не более 2 ошибок) и в 1 балл (если ошибок не более 3). Данный критерий оценивается в 0 баллов, если допущены многочисленные орфографические и пунктуационные ошибки и/или допущены ошибки, которые затрудняют понимание текста.

В задании 6 ответ оценивается в 1 балл при соответствии его коммуникативной задаче, ответ должен быть правильно и логично выстроен. При несоответствии ответа коммуникативной задаче, такой ответ оценивается в 0 баллов.

Таким образом, выставляются следующие отметки:

Read A. Christie’s biography and say, what the following dates are for.

Agatha Christie was born in Devon on 15 September 1890, the daughter of Frederick and Clarissa Miller. Like many children of the times, her early education took place at home and at the age of 16 she went to a school in Paris and completed her education. Amongst other subjects, she studied singing and the piano. She enjoyed writing, from an early age her mother encouraged her in the use of her unusual imagination. At the age of 24, Agatha married Archibald Christie, an aviator in the Royal Flying Corps. Five years later in 1919, a daughter Rosalind was born and nine years later, in 1928 the couple divorced. By this time Agatha had become a writer of murder, mystery and suspense. Her first novel 'The Mysterious Affair at Styles’ was published in 1920. Agatha Christie married for a second time and in 1938 the family moved to Greenway House, a handsome residence on the River Dart in the West Country. In her lifetime, she wrote 66 detective stories. Seventeen Miss Marple, over 40 Hercule Poirot. Agatha also wrote plays. Over two billion copies of her books have been sold and her work has been translated into more languages than Shakespeare’s. Agatha Christie was invested as a Dame Commander of the British Empire in 1971. She died on 12 January, 1976.

Steve: Yes.

James: Well, I was wondering, is there any computer magazine you particularly like reading?

Steve: There are loads. I used to like Pixel a lot, then I was hooked on Byte but now my favourite is Compumania.

James: Is it expensive?

Steve: It’s £2.00 but if you get a subscription you can have it for £1.50 a month.

James: I see. Are there any offers?

Steve: Yes, there are gifts with every issue. Last month there was a free memory card and this month there’s a DVD.

 James: What about the articles? Is there any information on online learning or web design?

Steve: I haven’t seen anything about online learning yet but there were instructions on how to make a web page last month. Plus a lot of interesting information on new gadgets such as web cameras and MP3 players.

A symbol of Paris

     Being one of the most popular sites in the world, the Eiffel Tower attracts hundreds of  thousands of  tourists every year. In fact, the structure, received its two hundredth millionth guest in 2002. Located on the Champs de Mars by the Seine River, visitors can make their way to the top and admire the breath taking view of Paris.

     The Tower was the inspiration of French engineer Gustave Eiffel. A very famous personality in his time, Eiffel had also done important work for the internal structure of another famous monument, the Statue of Liberty in the USA. Work on the Eiffel Tower began in 1887 and lasted until 1889, when the building was opened to the public during the Paris World Exposition. Until 1930 and the construction of the Chrysler Building in New York, the Tower remained the highest structure in the world.

     Many people, especially artists, criticized the structure saying that this distasteful structure did not fit in with the beauty of  Paris. One of  these critics was the French writer Guy de Maupassant, who ate at one of the tower’s restaurants almost every day, because it was the only place in Paris from where the tower was not visible, and so he wouldn’t have to see it!

     A lot of effort and money go into keeping the Tower in good condition. Every seven years, sixty metric tons of paint are used to repaint it. Different shades of the same colour are used on the top and darker ones on the bottom in order for the building to have an unvarying  appearance.

Пояснительная записка к итоговому тестированию

по английскому языку в 8 классе

Итоговая работа по английскому языку состоит из трех разделов, включающих в себя 4 задания ( 2 типа А – задания с выбором ответа из предложенных, 2 – типа В). За каждый правильно выбранный ответ учащийся получает 1 балл.

Назначения итоговой работы – оценить базовый уровень языковой подготовки выпускников 8 класса.

Содержание работы определяется на основе Стандарта всеобщего основного образования и Примерной программы по иностранному языку.

Продолжительность выполнения работы – 40-45 минут.

Раздел 1 («Аудирование»)  содержит 5  заданий, проверяет умение понимать в прослушанном тексте запрашиваемую информацию. При выполнении заданий по аудированию запись звучит дважды.

Раздел 2 («Чтение»)  содержит 7 заданий, с выбором одного правильного ответа из

трёх предложенных, проверяет умение читать текст с пониманием общего содержания прочитанного.

Раздел 3 («Грамматика и лексика»)  содержит 13  заданий с выбором одного правильного ответа из двух или трёх предложенных, проверяет сформированность грамматических навыков учащихся; 5 заданий проверяют лексико-грамматические навыки учащихся. В заданиях  ученику предлагается вставить фразы так, чтобы они лексически соответствовали содержанию текста.

Баллы, полученные за работу, переводятся в отметку по пятибалльной шкале следующим образом:

26-30 балл – «5»

22-25 баллов – «4»

16-21 баллов – «3»

0-15 баллов – «2»
