Цель: знакомство с экспозицией музея колледжа, воспитание чувства патриотизма;  интереса к истории своей страны и развитие языковых навыков обучающихся.

A military and patriotic museum of Law College

“We worship those great years”

Objectives:

The aim of museum activity is the development of a sense of responsibility for the preservation of natural riches, a sense of pride for our Motherland, school, family.

The college museum is aimed at coordinating the patriotic activity, being a link between the educational institution and other cultural establishments.

The main tasks of the museum are:

-to develop a sense of  patriotism, citizenship, humanism;

-to expand knowledge,   increase cognitive interests and  social activities of the students;

- to work on pre-training and specialized education, to develop  skills of research activities.

Introduction

The concept of the museum development is targeted at the museum community, including the staff, students, parents, social and war veteran organizations  who are involved in the problem-solving process of civil and patriotic education in the college.

The role of the Museum in the educational process

1. sightseeing tours for the guests; seminar participants, students;
2. tours for the school pupils, veterans, residents of the area;
3. lessons based on the materials presented at the museum;
4. using the items as visual aids at the lessons;
5. preparation of research papers;
6. arranging seminars for the museum staff;
7. participating in the Open Doors Day for parents;
8. lessons of courage, holidays, meetings with interesting people

One of the aims of the museum is to raise patriotic conscience. The museum represents the link of times. It gives us a unique opportunity to make those people who lived before us our allies, make use of their experience and the past comes into the present in the form of monuments of material and spiritual culture, which the museum preserves.

The core of any museum is history. Our history was created over the centuries. Generations are replaced by generations, leaving the descendants their heritage in the field of science, art and culture.

The museum was set up on February, 2, 2012.  The opening of it was timed to the Day of military glory in Russia – the Victory in the Stalingrad battle in 1943.

The founders of the museum:

Director of the college, Deputy Chairman of the board - Georgy Vladimirovich Samoylov,

Deputy Director on Educational and Methodical work - Uriy Igorevich Yezhov,

Deputy Director on Educational and Pedagogical work – Liliana Fedorovna Vorontsova

 Head of the Library and of the Museum – Yelena Nikolayevna Stepanova,

Teacher of History, organizer or search parties, Doctor of Historical Sciences – Alexander Viktorovich Bespalov.

The work of the museum is organized on the self-government principle, being  coordinated by the Council of the museum, which consists of the students of the college. There are several active groups within the museum: sightseeing group, design group, creative group, a group for work with veterans and a search and research group.

But now the Museum is not just a military and patriotic museum. Voluntary and educational work takes place here. The traditions and memory of those great people keep going here. Since its foundation and to the present day the museumhas taken a special place in the college.

The students of the college take an active part in the action “The Field of Russian Glory”.  Within this action on April, 28, 2015  the museum was awarded with the pieces of the earth from the fields of military glory – the Borodino field, Mamayev Kurgan, the Prokhorov field, Malakhov Kurgan, the Valley of the Glory, the Brest fortress and other fields.

At the solemn ceremony G.V.Samoylov, the Director said, “These shrines will contribute to the civil and patriotic education of the students. Participating in  the all-Russian action "Field of Russian glory" is a tribute to the people who day by day approached the Victory of our Motherland. Now the parts of the relics are stored in the Museum  as a reminder of those who fought in the Great Patriotic war. Let the heroism and courage of the older generation  always be an example  of generous and dedicated service for our country to all of us!" After the ceremony   a "Lesson of courage and bravery" was held in the college.

In2012 Law College   created the Museum "We worship those Great years". The teaching staff of the College suggested the preservation of  cultural values of  Russian people in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, to maintain the continuity of generations and initiated  the participation of the students of the College in the project "Charity". The idea of creating the Museum in the College appeared at that time. But the opening of the Museum was preceded by long and painstaking work of the team of teachers and students of the College, help from their parents – all those who are interested in preservation of historical memory, the memory of the past of  Russian people –  the nation - winner. Great was the desire of all the students, the College administration  to contribute to the preservation of the cultural heritage of our people. The opening of the Museum was timed to the day of military glory of Russia –the  day of victory in the battle of Stalingrad in 1943 (February 2).

All presented in the Museum exhibits were found during the "Memory Watches" of a search party  " FIPO- AGPS” of the Youth Public Association of the Academy of State firefighter service  on the strategic base "Nevsky Pyatachok" in Kirovsky district of  Leningrad region, where in September-December of 1941   the 3rd  infantry battalion of the 7th infantry regiment of 20th  division of NKVD heroically fought. A search team was organized in 2005.

Topic: They went towards their death but entered immortality (The heroes of the Brest Fortress).

One of the interesting expositions of the Museum  is a model of military battles.

The breadboard model is not only interesting to visitors but it is also joint work of the Council of the Museum. The whole picture of events was created by the students of  Law College.

With their own hands they  literally   reconstructed the real battle part  by part.

The visitors  have an  opportunity to see not only the exhibits separately, but to view them  both in details and as a  whole picture. Watching the model, one can see the details of the battle of Germany with Russia.

The exposition of the Museum  contributes significantly  to the education of students and  raising of their  moral standards.  The basic knowledge they receive, guiding skills and others  such as  erudition,  speech etiquette,  teamwork and  organizational skills   let the students use them in their life.

The activities in the Museum are  based on the following principles:

 systematic connection with  lessons and with  the whole educational process;

 conduct of teaching and research work, including local history  as a base for the development and activities of the Museum;

 using a variety of techniques and forms of educational and extracurricular work;

 creative initiative of students;

 communication with the public, residents of the district, state museums and archives.

The activities of the Museum in the educational space of the College is a combination of traditional technology and Museum education  in close cooperation with  the Board of the Museum and the society.

 The students of the college carry out search and research work actively in the museum, develop the following projects: a short one- "The Story of one thing", a medium one- "My genealogy", a long one - "Mercy”, “Following the way of  heroes, the way of fathers".

The Council of the Museum of the college maintains  active relationship with the families of the participants of the Great Patriotic war, provides sponsorship assistance, showing concern  and mercy  to the veterans of the district.

The Museum is decorated with poster material on  history,  video recordings and interviews with participants of the battles are being collected.

There are not only successful and talented students working in the museum, but also students with behavioral problems. The Museum supports these students, assists in their socialization. The program is designed for the future, constantly being updated and improved in accordance with the time and modern requirements:

- a  project "Young talent" is being developed;

- “A media library and a video library of the history of the area" is being created.

The Museum holds about 194 exhibits.

Listen, look, remember…

It's a Museum of memory.

Keep silence, bow your head, leave small and insignificant things behind.

The memory of the war lives in those exhibits.

These people did not know that protecting the peace on the Earth they went towards their death but entered immortality.
