Present Simple usually, often, seldom, always, never, every day e.g. My friends go to London every year. Jane often plays the piano. Present Continuous now, at the moment e.g. She is writing a letter now. Present Perfect already, just, yet e.g. They have already finished the work. She has just come home.
What tense is used in these sentences? 1. He always comes in time. 2. Tom has just closed the door. 3. Are you doing your homework now? 4. My parents haven’t been to London yet. 5. Do you often drink tea in the morning? 6. I am sleeping at the moment. 7. Jim doesn’t usually help me about the house.
Use the right tense in the following sentences. 1. He … (drink) coffee at the moment. 2. They … (not/read) the letter yet. 3. Jane … (go) to the swimming pool every Friday. 4. My friends … (already/visited) England. 5. They … (eat) a cake now? 6. I … (not/get up) early on Sundays. 7. Tom … (already/write) an essay.
Present Perfect Continuous have + been + V ing has Указатели: for ( на протяжении какого-то времени) since ( с какого-то времени) e.g. They have been studying English for two years. She has been living in Moscow since 1998.
Questions with How long 1 2 3 4 5 How long have you been writing this letter? How long has he been watching TV?
Use Present Perfect Continuous in the following sentences. 1. We … (walk) in the park for two hours. 2. Susan … (do) her homework since 5 o’clock. 3. They … (live) in this house since 1990. 4. She ... (play) the piano for three months. 5. My mother … (cook) dinner for an hour. 6. Jane and Mary … (swim) since 2 o’clock.
