Конспект урока английского языка по УМК «Spotlight» в 11 классе по теме: «Danger»

Тип урока: урок повторения и закрепления изученного материала.

Вид урока: традиционный урок с элементами ролевой игры.

Цель данного урока -  совершенствование лексическо-грамматических навыков устной речи. Урок нацелен на совершенствование у обучающихся умения вести дискуссию с применением фраз-клише, речевого этикета с целью их практического использования во время проведения ролевой игры.  Развивается умение сконцентрировать внимание, проанализировать полученную информацию, высказать свое суждение по данному  вопросу.  Данный урок является средством подготовки учащихся  к сдаче экзамена в формате ЕГЭ (устные виды речевой деятельности).

В ходе урока реализуется один из главнейших дидактических принципов – принцип природосообразности: учет индивидуальных психологических особенностей учащихся, реализованных за счет внедрения современных информационно-коммуникационных технологий, разноуровневых заданий, личностно-ориентированного подхода, здоровьесберегающих технологий.   Методическая цель урока: показать методику применения коммуникативного метода на этапе формирования лексических навыков устной речи.

   Цели урока:

учебные:

   - формирование речевой и социокультурной компетентности учащихся;

   - совершенствовать лексические навыки аудирования и диалогической речи по теме: «Опасность»;

   развивающие:

   - развивать у суворовцев умения творческого мышления, готовности к коммуникации;

  воспитательные: 

 - развивать способность учащихся выслушивать чужую точку зрения и умело аргументировать свою:

-  мотивировать  суворовцев на ведение здорового образа жизни.

Методы и приемы работы: словесный (беседа, рассказ), практические (заполнение анкеты), дискуссия, имитационные методы активного обучения (ролевая игра), индуктивный метод, рефлексия.

Межпредметные связи: биология, ОБЖ, ИКТ.

Метапредметные связи: умение осознанно использовать речевые средства в соответствии с задачей коммуникации для выражения своих чувств и мыслей.

Оборудование: О.В.Афанасьева, Дж. Дули, И. В. Михеева «Английский в фокусе» 11 класс, мультимедийное оборудование, ноутбук.

Ход урока:

1.Мотивация учебной деятельности.      

 T: We are going to have a final lesson on the theme “Danger” today. I want you to be careful and active. So let’s start our work.

2.Создание целевой системы. T: And now listen to the poem and define the topic of the lesson

A poem: “Be Healthy” 

To be healthy in your life

Don’t forget to do all five.

Get up early, quick and bright,

Exercise with all your might,

In the morning jump and run,

Eat your breakfast you’ve done,

Train your body, train your brain

All bad habits pass away.

T: Now tell me, please, what the theme of our lesson is.

1) As for me, I think that today we’ll talk about the danger of diseases and how to overcome them.

2) To my mind we’ll learn about the importance of being healthy.

3) As far as I concern we are going to talk about healthy living guide.

 Суворовцы читают тему урока. (слайд 1).

You are right. The theme of the lesson is “Our Health. Danger of Being Unhealthy”. The aim of the lesson is to organize a discussion on the topic, to act out some conversations.

3. Речевая  зарядка.

T: You know from your childhood that health is above wealth and what other English proverbs you know about health.

1. He who has not health has nothing.

2.  A person who is well has half won a battle.

3. Health is better than wealth.

4. Without health life is not life, life is lifeless.

5.  After dinner sit a while, after supper walk a mile.

6. Wealth is nothing without health.

T: OK! Right you are! We should always think about health and remember about danger of being ill. Now let’s have a brainstorm and name the words which define the word “HEALTH”.

Суворовцы выходят к доске и пишут слова: exercises, sport, rest, open air, sleep, not to smoke, not to drink, wash with cold water.

T: Now tell me what our health depend on.

Суворовцы: I think that our health depends on … (перечисляет все, что написано на доске, используя фразы речевого этикета I think that, to my mind, in my opinion, as far as I concern etc.).

T: As you can see, our health depends on different factors.   By the way, all suvorovites look great and healthy. Tell me, please, why it is so.

4. Активизация лексического материала по теме урока:

1) Фонетическая зарядка:

T: But we should always remember that despite to all our efforts we are always in danger to catch a cold or fall ill. Let’s remember what illnesses may be.

T:  Watch a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoC8Xf6220s) and answer the following questions:

1. What has happened with the young girl?

2. What are the symptoms of her disease?

3. What is the doctor’s diagnose?

4. What will the young girl do?

6.Диалог (ролевая игра)

T: When we have got some problems with our health we consult the doctor. Listen to the dialogue between the doctor and a patient and tell what illness the patient has got.

 Dialogue:

-Good morning! Sit down, please. What can I do for you?

- Well, I’ve had a headache and a sore throat for a few days and now I’ve got this strange rash with itchy spots.

- Hmm. Have you got a temperature?

- Yes, I think I’ve got a slight one.

- Ok, let’s take a look at the rash. Ah, just as I thought. Have you got a chickenpox?

- Chickenpox! Well … errr no, actually. Is that what I have got?

- I’m afraid so. It’s highly contagious, so you should stay away from others for about another week.

- OK. Is there anything you can give me to make it go away faster?

- I’m afraid not, but I can give you a prescription for some ointment help the itching. Put it three times a day for five days. You should make a full recovery within a fortnight.

-OK. Thank you, doctor. Do I need to come back and see you again?

- Only if you are worried for any reason. Here’s your prescription. I hope you get better soon!

 7. Подготовка и микро-диалоги в парах.

T: You always must be ready to propose and accept some help to a person in trouble.

T: Imagine the situation that your friend is in trouble. One of you will propose some help the other will accept it. Work in pairs, please. One minute to prepare. Микро-диалоги в парах.

1)- Hello, …! You look rather awful. What the matter?

- Sorry, I’m not well. I’ve got a sore throat.

- Would you like me to make you some hot drink

-Oh, would you? That would be great!

2) – Sorry, your voice is hoarse.

- Yes, I have a terrible cough.

- Would you like me to do some shopping for you and buy some cough syrup?

-Yes, please, That’s very kind of you.

3) - You don’t look very well. Shall I call a doctor?

- Would you? That’s really kind, but I think I can manage to do it myself using my laptop.

Operator: Good evening, 24-hour Telephone Health Service. Patricia Brown speaking. Can I take your full name first, please?

Caller: Yes, it’s James French.

Operator: Ok. So, what seems to be the problem, Mr. French?

Caller: Well, I’ve been feeling really unwell since yesterday. I have really bad earache and a high

temperature.

Operator: I see. Have you got any other symptoms?

Caller: Well, yes. My hearing has been affected. Both of my ears are really blocked up and I can hardly  hear anything from the left one. I feel a bit dizzy too.

Operator: Ok, well for the moment you should take some painkillers such as paracetamol or aspirin. This take more than two every four hours.

Caller: Ok, I’ll do that.

Operator: Now, it sounds like you could have an ear infection and if so you’ll need to see a doctor and  get some antibiotics. I can ask the doctor-on-call to make a house call if you like.

Caller: Oh… yes, that would be great. Would he be able to come this evening?

Operator: Err… let’s see… Monday evening… no, I’m afraid he’s already got too many other calls to make this evening, but he could come and see you on Tuesday morning – that’s tomorrow – at ten o’clock, or on Wednesday at the same time.

Caller: No, Wednesday is too far away. Tuesday would be better. Thank you so much.

Operator: You’re welcome. I hope you feel better soon.

T: This year you’ll pass your State Final Exams. It is a difficult and a responsible task. Now you are going to answer the questions and we’ll see whether you are ready to do it and what your health condition is. Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы анкеты. Подсчитывают баллы. Ответы на доске. Читают и переводят .

10. Вручение подарков гостям (брошюры): «16 ways to de – stress».

T: Let’s give presents to our guests!

1.        Take off your watch.

2.        Switch off your mobile phone.

3.        Don’t eat your breakfast on your feet – sit down and enjoy it.

4.        Put on your most comfortable clothes.

5.        Don’t run after the bus – let it go.

6.        Smell the roses.

7.        Give up the gym.

8.        Fall in love.

9.        Only switch on your television if there is something you really want to watch.

10.         Throw away any clothes you haven’t worn for the past two years.

11.         Have a laugh.

12.         Hang up your clothes when you take them off.

13.         Spend ten minutes doing absolutely nothing.

14.         Walk.

15.         Only do the ironing if you love it.

16.         Put on your favourite music and turn up the volume.

III.Заключительная часть. Подведение итогов урока.

Рефлексия. T: Now let’s summarize the results of our lesson. Do you like our lesson? What have we done today? What questions have we discussed today? Why is it very important to be healthy?
