Past Simple (прошедшее простое время):

Действие произошло вчера, в прошлом месяце, два года назад и т.д.

+     подл. +  V2 + остальные члены предложения

They played football last Weekend.

He read an interesting book yesterday.

–     подл. +   did + not + V1 + остальные члены предложения

They didn’t play football last Weekend.
