Тип урока: комбинированный.

Цели урока:

• Познавательный аспект - увеличение объема знаний о способах описания погоды.
• Развивающий аспект - развитие познавательных и творческих способностей учащихся, способности к сравнению и сопоставлению полученных знаний, способности логически излагать.
• Воспитательный аспект - повышение интереса к изучению английского языка, воспитание культуры языкового общения, уважительного отношения друг к другу, умение внимательно слушать собеседника.
• Учебный аспект – развитие речевых умений.

Задачи урока:

• совершенствование речевых умений по теме;
• совершенствование умений аудировать с целью извлечения необходимой информации;
• совершенствование умений читать текст с детальным пониманием;
• совершенствование умений навыка говорения.

Оборудование к уроку: компьютер, видео к уроку из Интернет (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn1BxewN-kQ ), проектор, УМК М.З. Биболетовой 8 класс.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент. Приветствие – 1 мин.

T: -Good morning, students!

P: -Good morning!

T: -I am glad to see you.

P: -We are glad to see you too.

T:-Thank you, children. And how are you? (называю имена детей)

P1: -I am fine. Thank you. And you?

T: - I am fine, too, thank you.

T: - Well, let’s start our lesson.

2. Сообщение цели урока с элементом аудирования и визуализации – 7 мин.

T: -Children, watch this video and suppose the theme of our lesson. I am sure you guess about it very easily.

(Видео содержит 15 кратких опросов людей на улицах Лондона и Нью-Йорка относительно погоды.

1) –What’s the weather like today?

    -It’s, uh, cloudy and damp.

2) –And, uh, what’s the weather like?

    -Brisk. It’s brisk. It’s cool-yeah.

    -Yeah. Brisk. Wonderful.

3) –What’s the weather like today?

-It’s a beautiful day in New York. It’s cool and it’s crisp. It’s autumn.

4) –What’s the weather like today&?

   -O.K., well, it’s really overcast and cloudy, and it’s a bit crisp and a little windy. But it’s pleasant.

5) –What’s the weather like?

   -Now? Dull and grey. Cold.

6) –And what’s the weather like?

   - Weather? Breezy, bright,sunny. Very nice. Very healthy.

7) – And what’s the weather like?

    - The weather is beautiful today. It’s a little cool, it’s dry, and it’s a little breezy and sunny.

8) –What’s the weather like today?

    - It’s nice. It’s not too cold and it’s not too warm. It’s pleasant.

9) – And what’s the weather like today?

    - Sunny, mild, uh, not too hot, not, not too cold.

    - Great. All right. Thanks a lot.

10) –What’s the weather like?

     - Beautiful today. Very nice.Yeah, really nice. Like the South of France.

[The question is the same. What’s the weather like today?]

11) –Chilly. Windy.

12) –Cold and windy.

13) –Very sunny, warm.

14) –Uh, very cold, windy, uh, not very nice.

15) –It’s raining).

3.Чтение с извлечением необходимой информации, составление диалога - 7 минут.

Учащиеся просматривают видео и высказывают предположения о теме урока.

P1: -I think that we’re going to talk about the weather and maybe about the climate.

T: - OK. You are right.

T: -And what about the weather today?

P1: -It’s cool.

P2: -It’s changing. It’s cool and it’s sunny but sometimes rainy and cloudy.

P3: -I like the weather like this. It’s not too hot, not too cold. It’s O.K.

T: - Now, please, open your books p.10 ex. 24. Read the postcards tourists sent home while visiting English-speaking counties. Match the texts and the pictures.

P1: -The first text is picture three.

T: -Yes, you’re right.

P2: -The second text is picture two.

T: -Nice!

P3: -The third text is picture one.

T: -Amazing! Good job!

T: - Now read the text again and try to find information about the weather in each texts.

P1: -It’s hot and sunny. There is hardly a cloud in the sky. The temperature is between 35-38 degree C.

P2: -It’s cold and frosty. There is a lot of snow here now.

P3: -The weather can change very quickly here. It was warm and sunny. It became cool and cloudy.

T; -Thank you. Now, tell me, please, what kind of the weather is your favorite?

P1: -I like when it’s hot and sunny.

P2: -I like when it’s warm and rainy.

P3: -I like snow. I like winter. Yes, I do!

3. Фонетическая зарядка– 3 мин.

T: -Let’s continue our work with doing a phonetic drill. Look at the board and read this short poem.

Whether the weather is hot
Whether the weather is not
We‘ll weather the weather
Whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not.

Ученики читают скороговорку.

T: - Now, listen it  and check your reading.

Учащиеся слушают.

T: - Children, will you read out the words with the sound [ð]?

Учащиеся читают слова.

4. Работа с текстом – 7 минут.

T: -Let’s do exercise 25 on the page 11. Read the task, please.

P: -Look through the text and say which text these groups of works belong to.

Ученики выполняют задание из учебника, находят выражения в тексте, переводят их.

5. Письмо- 10 минут.

T: -Make five own sentences with word combinations and write them down.

Ученики письменно составляют пять предложений с выражениями из упражнения.

6. Динамическая пауза- 1 минута.

T: -You are tired. Imagine that you are in forest and it’s rainy. Listen to the sound of rainy forest and relax.

Your body becomes easier and easier. You can fly. Lift up your hands. Clap your hands. Blink your eyes. Lift up your head. Turn right.Turn left.

Учащиеся слушают звуки природы и отдыхают (слайд № 14)

7. Написание мини высказывания – 7 минут.

T: - Your last task for the lesson will be to write a short statement about the typical weather in your favorite place (city, country, town).  

8. Заключительный этап урока- 2 минуты.

Домашнее задание. Подведение итогов.

T: -Students, you have learnt a lot of useful and interesting information. Your home task: p.11 ex. 29. You will write a postcard to your English-speaking pen friend describing the climate and weather in your home town.

T: -The lesson is over. Thank you. Good-Bye.
