Kate Middleton’s Nude Photo Scandal: a Royal invasion of privacy
As Will and Kate continued their tour of Asia, they could rest assured that the "anger and disbelief," as a source described it to PEOPLE, felt by their relatives – especially the Queen – was not directed at them. "The rest of the royal family are most definitely supporting them in everything that they are doing," says a Palace source. Adds Ken
Wharfe
, a former bodyguard to Princess Diana: "If this were

, [the Queen] would be livid. But this is top-drawer royalty: a favorite grandson and his beautiful wife. They live in another world."
In 2006, the Queen once again granted public access to her life with a documentary series, "Monarchy, The Royal Family at Work". Currently being re-shown on PBS, this exclusive fly-on-the-wall series looks at the Queen in her day to day role as the head of the royal family and offers insights to all the minute details that go into making a monarchy function. Perhaps generated in reaction to the public outcry to get rid of the lavish royal lifestyle at the taxpayers’ expense, this series is carefully crafted to show hundreds of people who are employed behind the scenes in the daily tasks of running Buckingham Palace. Although the Queen is still standing firm as the head of the monarchy, this duo is peering over the heads of the critics and anticipate with absolute certainty of fulfilling the roles that await them.
CONCLUSION
Royal duties and engagements
Younger members of the Royal Family who are presently in education or military training - such as Prince William and Prince Harry- don’t undertake official duties full-time, but often play a role in important national events and commemorations.
Every year the Royal Family as a whole carries out over 2.000 official engagements throughout the UK and worldwide.
The Royal Family as a whole plays a role in strengthening national unity. Members of the Royal Family are able to recognize and participate in community and local events in every part of the UK, from the opening of new buildings to celebrations or acts of commemoration.
The Queen working by herself would be unable to attend every engagement to which she is invited. Members of the Royal Family can undertake local or specialist engagements which would be otherwise have to be declined.
Kate has taken first place on the annual Fashion Buzzword List poll yet again- this time thanks to the popularity of the term “ The Duchess Effect.” The list is compiled using a combination of data collected from an analysis of words mentioned on the Internet, in the blogosphere and from the top 75.000 print and electronic global media outlets, as well as from new media sources as they emerge.
The Duchess Effect is a term that has come to describe anything Kate wears that goes on to sell out globally within hours.
Perhaps the most famous example of the Duchess Effect was the 475 pounds navy blue

dress Kate wore when she announced her engagement to Prince William.

Mr. Hall, speaking on the ITV1 documentary Diana’s Last Summer, said: "I felt huge responsibility for what happened and I think everyone in the media did.
"If the paparazzi hadn’t been following her the car wouldn’t have been speeding and, you know, the accident may never have happened."
He said the princess had often tipped off his newspaper about photo opportunities and invited his executives to lunch at Kensington Palace. "She wanted to try to be on the front foot over her media coverage," he said.
After the death of the princess in Aug 1997, the tabloids said they would ban photographs taken by the paparazzi.
The Sunday Mirror bought the paparazzi pictures, published three weeks before the princess’s death, which first showed the seriousness of her liaison with
Dodi
Fayed and encouraged the Paris chase.
Stuart Higgins, who edited The Sun, told The Daily Telegraph: "The death of Princess Diana was the most tragic story during my period as editor. I have often questioned my role, the paper’s role and the media’s role generally in her death and the events leading up to it.
Conclusion
England has seen many changes during the Queen’s sixty-year reign and not surprisingly, its citizens have emerged with indifference to the monarchy. Headline stories of their saga used to sell millions of copy, but today’s market just won’t tolerate misbehaving, pampered royal princes and princesses. Through it all, whenever the palace is perceived as being a superfluous tourist attraction, the Queen has retaliated by gently nudging her way back into the heart of her people.

Townsend felt he could not expect the Princess to make the necessary sacrifices and when they met he
realised
she had come to the same conclusion. "We had reached the end of the road," wrote Townsend. "Our feelings for one another were unchanged but they had incurred for us a burden so great that we decided, together, to lay it down."
On October 27, Margaret told Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Geoffrey Fisher of her decision and four days, on October 31, issued her historic statement.
The Princess said: "I would like it to be known that I have decided not to marry Group Captain Peter Townsend. Mindful that Christian marriage is indissoluble and conscious of my duty to the Commonwealth, I have resolved to put these considerations before others."

A fashion and icon style
“Few people have had an impact on fashion in the same way as Princess Diana. As a public figure, the Princess’s dress style was closely scrutinized by the press and the public. As a young princess, her clothes were romantic and demure but as her confidence grew, her style developed into that of an international celebrity: glamorous, elegant and completely her own.”
“For Diana, clothes were part of a charisma captured in the camera eye. But the process became increasingly thought-out and planned as the Princess took control of how she was represented.”

Pressure from the media
Life in the limelight
The editors of the three biggest selling tabloid newspapers at the time of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales have disclosed for the first time their own share of guilt over the accident that killed her.
The editors of The Sun, Daily Mirror and News of the World have conceded that they had helped create an atmosphere in which the paparazzi, who were chasing Diana when her car crashed in a Paris underpass, were out of control.

Princess Margaret an inspiration for Fashion designers
Now when we talk of fashion it is almost surprising how the inspirational muses for fashion designers are stooping so low. Unexpected but Burberry designer, Christopher Bailey, has went ahead to pick up Princess Margaret as his muse for his most recent collection.
The hunt for style icon is going in full swing. I just hope that the style advisers will come up with someone more graceful.

She was a very unique figure, with a sexy attitude. Whenever one thinks of her the association is mainly with fags, gins, late night outs and a potato couch when she is back at her royal suit.

Her affair with Edward, however, eventually

beyond even her control. Not because she was passionately in love with him — but because her desperate pleas to be released were met with emotional blackmail.
If she tried to leave him, the prince told her, he would either kill himself or pursue her to the ends of the earth.

ut, like the Queen, Kate knows how to use color to send out a message.
In Ottawa on Canada Day she thrilled crowds by dressing in the national

The huge range of these organizations - covering every subject from education to the environment, hospitals to housing - allows members of the Royal Family to meet people from a wide spectrum of national and local life, and to understand their interests, problems and concerns.

Style
Her unique style has inspired the ‘Kate Effect’, with millions of women throughout the world trying to copy her look.
And last week the US magazine Vanity Fair declared that the Duchess of Cambridge had topped their best-dressed list for a third time, making the Royal fashion icon their September cover girl.
Now, a Mail on Sunday survey of outfits worn by the Duchess in the past two years has revealed the secrets of her wardrobe. And occasional criticism of her ‘drab’ taste in colors is proved ill-founded as the Duchess emerges as Kaleidoscope Kate.
Kate refuses to hire a personal stylist and has been dubbed the Duchess of Thrift because of her habit of recycling her outfits and buying high street frocks
of America’s leading society magazine as the world’s best-dressed woman. Here, we chart the colours that made her a global icon.
