1. Тема внеклассного мероприятия: «I love English»
2. Цели внеклассного мероприятия:
- Углубление знаний о культуре и традициях жителей англоговорящих стран
- Развитие неподготовленной речи учащихся
- Развитие креативных способностей учащихся
- Воспитание интереса к изучению предмета
- Воспитание уважительного отношения к другим культурам
- Обобщение страноведческих знаний учащихся, полученных на уроках английского языка
3. Задачи внеклассного мероприятия:
Образовательные задачи:
· В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам («Животные», «Великобритания» и др.) и расширить общий кругозор.
Развивающие задачи:
· Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;
· Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).
· Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.
Воспитательные задачи:
· Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.
4. Связь с учебным материалом:
Данное внеклассное мероприятие соответствует знаниям, умениям и навыкам, которыми обладают учащиеся 3 «Б» класса, а также частично связано с изученными в течении недавнего времени темами. В ходе внеклассного мероприятия использованы грамматика, лексика, соответствующая учебному материалу 3 «Б» класса.
5. Оснащение внеклассного мероприятия:
ТСО, доска, раздаточный материал.
6. Ход (сценарий) мероприятия:
Quiz-master 1: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we will organize a competition called “I love English”. Three teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest.
Quiz-master 2: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. But first of all, let’s study something new about sights of England.(presentation)
THE TOWER OF LONDON
The greatest Tower of London is one of the world’s most famous buildings. This building with 900-years history was previously a royal palace, execution place, prison, jewel house, arsenal and even zoo. While visiting this sight don’t forget to gaze up at the White Tower, marvel at the Crown Jewels and skulk through a medieval king’s bedchamber.
TOWER BRIDGE
Tower Bridge was opened in 1894, built in the Gothic style. The bascules are opened by electricity and will open to let the ships pass through. The Bridge is a symbol of London which attracts the tourists.
BUCKINGHAM PALACE
Buckingham Palace has been a home for the British Kings and Queens for three hundred years. It’s the symbol of the monarch. This Palace is neither very old nor very beautiful. It is the most famous address in the world.
WESTMINSTER ABBEY
Westminster Abbey was founded in 1065. It is the traditional place of coronation for the English monarchs. Every British monarch has been crowned in the Abbey. Many are buried there. There are memorials to the famous British in the Abbey. You can see the Poets’ Corner there.
THE BRITISH MUSEUM
The British Museum was founded in 1753 in London. It has big collections of books, manuscripts, prints, drawings, paintings, medals, coins. The biggest Library in Great Britain with many millions of books is in the Museum.
THE HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT
The Houses of Parliament has been the seat of government since the 11th century. When the parliament works you can see the light above the clock at night, the British Flag over the Victoria Tower at day time.
BIG BEN
Big Ben is the name of the tower and the clock. Big Ben is famous for the 13-ton bell. The bell weighs 13, 5 tons and the hammer – 8 tons. It is the voice of London. It tells the time since 1859. The Clock Tower is 318 feet (95 m 400sm). You must go up 374 steps to get to top.
TRAFALGAR SQUARE
Trafalgar square is the square in the central London. In the centre of the square you can see Nelson’s Column. Lord Nelson was the admiral who commanded the British fleet at Trafalgar battle in 1805. You can see the fountains and four bronze lions around the column. The Square is the popular place for many tourists.
HYDE PARK
Hyde Park is one of the biggest parks in central London. Hyde Park is 1,4 sq. km. Many people come to the park every day to have a rest on the green grass or to feed birds in the Serpentine Lake. Every Sunday you can listen to any person in the Speaker’s Corner.
THE LONDON EYE
The London Eye is the major feature of London’s skyline. It consists of thirty-two capsules each holding up twenty-five people. For breathtaking experience and unforgettable view of more than fifty London’s famous landmarks you have just to climb aboard and take a thirty minute ‘excursion’.
TATE MODERN
Tate Modern in London is a famous Britain’s national museum of contemporary and modern art. It stands on the banks oа Thames and has a unique shape (previously it was a power station).
Quiz-master 1:Now I’m going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 7 contests, they are:
1. The ABC game.
2. A magic 5.
3. Parts and wholes.
4. Proverbs and sayings.
5. Hidden words.
6. A tongue-twister.

Quiz-master 2: And now we come to the 1st contest of the game called “The ABC game”. Kids, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

You can get 5 points for the right answer.

5. Donald e) Poppins
6. Winnie-the- f) Crusoe
7. Santa g) Pan
Quiz-master 1: Our next contest is called “Proverbs and sayings”. Each team will get a list of words. You should rearrange the words so as to make up 3 proverbs. You have 5 minutes at your disposal and can get 9 points for this assignment.
1. Better late than never.
2. Two heads are better than one.
3. East or West home is best.
Quiz-master 2: Attention, please! The 5th contest is called “Hidden words”. This round is for the captains. Find, please, the animals hiding in the following sentences!
Example: If I shout, he’ll hear me.(Fish)
1. He’ll come to America tomorrow. (Cat)
2. Do good workers succeed? (Dog)
3. If Roger comes, we’ll begin. (Frog)
Quiz-master 1:The following task is for the rest. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can 3 times.
1. Put your head on your bed.
2. Run round the playground.
Quiz-master2:The following task is a crossword. You can get 1 point for each right answer.
Quiz-master 1: The team “…” is the winner. We hope that you have learned a lot of new and interesting things! (Each team gets a document for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place)
