Task 2.

Have you ever been to the International Book Fair in our city?

It is held from 14th to 20th October in the city's Main Exhibition  Center. It is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. More than 70 countries are exhibiting books there. It's an annual festival and it has been held in our city every October for more than 20 years .  You can learn about the latest news in literature there .

There are also numerous special programmes, including the contest called "Bookworm " . It is organized by a well -  known British publishing house. Each participant is asked several questions on British literature and a hundred of the most successful participants get prizes, such as books on various topics from gardening to space exploration.

The best jazz and rock bands take part in the book festival. Every day there is a miniconcert. And of course there are lots of exciting activities for young readers.

If you are tired or feel like having a quiet chat with friends, you can have a cup of delicious coffee or an ice cream in one of the cafes.

There is no need to rack your brains over the problem of where to go on the weekend. The literary festival is really worth visiting.
