Emma’s favourite doll

My name is Betty and I have a little sister Emma. She has got many dolls, but her favourite doll is Daisy. Mum and Dad gave it to her when she was a baby and she always takes it with her. She takes it to school and to her bedroom and when we sit down to eat, the doll sits next to Emma.

Last Sunday, our family went to the park to have a picnic. We took our dog, Chuck, with us and of course, Emma took Daisy too. There were a lot of people in the park because it was sunny. We found a place near the lake to have our picnic. After lunch, Emma and I went to play under the trees. Soon Emma said to me, «Betty, I want to take Daisy with us. Can you go and get her for me?» «OK!», I answered.

But when I went back to our picnic, Daisy wasn’t there. «Mum»! I cried, «we have lost (потеряли) Daisy!» Dad looked in all the bags and Mum and I looked under our sweaters and other things, but we couldn’t find her. I went to tell Emma about it, but when I got there, I saw Chuck. He had Daisy in his mouth. «Look!» said Emma, «Chuck has brought Daisy to play with me. He’s very smart.»

The Green Garden

There is only one long street in a small town. The houses aren't tall and the street isn't wide. But the people aren't happy in this town. There are no trees and flowers in the street. The little children haven't got a place to play.

In autumn Miss Chatter comes to visit the town. She sees the sad children in the street. She wants to help them. She says, «Dear children! Let's make a nice green garden together!» Then they plant the trees and water the flowers.

Spring comes and the children play in the garden every day. They like the green apple trees, the nice flowers and the beautiful birds. The people of the town like to have picnics in the garden. They say, «Thank you!» to Miss Chatter and the little children. Now all the people are happy.
