Игра-викторина «THE ANIMALS»
Цель игры: 1. Повторить названия животных.
2. Развивать навыки аудирования.
3. Попрактиковаться в описании животных.
Необходимый материал: Карточки с названиями животных, карточки с заданиями, два чистых листа ватмана, цветные карандаши или фломастеры, магнитофон, кассета.
Описание: Игра проводится в младших классах после изучения темы “The animals”. Класс делится на две команды – хищники и травоядные – и выполняет различные задания.
ХОД ИГРЫ.
1. Представление команд.
Каждый член команды представляет различного животного и говорит, что он умеет делать. Приблизительная схема I am a …

2. Word tennis.
Команды по очереди называют слова по предложенной теме. Игра продолжается до тех пор, пока одна из команд не сможет вспомнить слово.
3. Guess the animal
- They are grey. They are very big. They eat plants. They live in Africa and Asia(Elephants)
- They are black and white. They come from Antarctica. They can’t run very fast. They can swim. They eat fish. (Penguins)
- They are brown or grey. They can’t climb. They can jump very well. They live in Australia. (Kangaroos)
- They are big animals. They have got black stripes on an orange and white body. They live in Asia. They eat meat. They can run very fast.(Tigers)
- They come from warm countries but they can live in cold countries. They can live for 150 years. They eat plants. They can’t fly and they can’t climb, but they can walk at 5 kilometres per hour. (Tortoises.)
- They come from Africa. They live in the trees and they can climb very well. They can walk and run. They can jump. They can’t fly but they can “talk”. (Chimpanzees)
