«Этот удивительный мир английской и американской литературы»

План сценария.

1) Приветствие ведущих;

2) Мэгги и книжный червь;

3) Песня “Bookland”;

4) Ведущие представляют героев пьес на фоне презентации и музыки

              (герои пьес выходят на сцену);

5) Ведущие представляют пьесы, подготовленные разными школами

           (в перерывах между пьесами песни и танец):

1. Оскар Уайлд «Счастливый принц» - №7
2. Марк Твен «Том Сойер» - №3
3. Оскар Уайлд «Портрет Дориана Грея» - №5
4. Льюис Кэрролл «Алиса в стране чудес» - №8
5. Марк Твен«Принц и нищий» - №6
6. Памела Линдон Трэверс «Мэри Поппинс» - №9
7. Энид Блайтон «Пятеро на острове сокровищ» - №10
8. О Генри «Вождь краснокожих» - №1

6) Завершение фестиваля (ведущие);

    (все участники фестиваля поют на сцене).

1) Приветствие ведущих: 

- Dear  friends, we are pleased to welcome you.

- Spring is definitely associated  with the opening of a new school festival. And today we are ready to impress the  audience with the brilliant performances staged by  the  students of different  schools.

- As always the show  selections are of the highest quality and include a variety to suit every taste. Hilarious comedies appropriate for all ages and dramas with serious themes and mature content that challenge  both players and audiences.

- Let us  introduce   our jury:

-The chairman of the jury is

- The members of the jury are

- Yes,  truly without  theatre we  can not live.

-Look, enjoy, understand.

-Applause actors reward.

-Well, well, now  heroes will alive.

-And we will go to the wonderful world with you!

( на экране - открывающаяся  дверь)

Ведущие:

A book, we think, is very like a little golden door

That takes us into places where we’ve never been before

It leads us into fairyland or countries strange and far

And best of all the golden door always stands ajar

-  We  wish  good  luck  for all the   participants  of the  festival!

Maggie: Oh, God. What an awful day! It’s so hot. I feel like 100 degrees. It’s unbearable. I want to swim, to play with my friends near the river. But I have to stay here and read. Oh, my lovely sister, thank you for giving me this dull book. It’s terrible!

/пробегает книжный червь/

Book warm: Hi! How are you doing?

Maggie:  Hi! Who are you?

Book warm: I’m a book warm.

Maggie:  A book warm?

Book warm: You look so sad and unhappy. Can I help you?

Maggie:  I don’t think so. I guess nobody can help me. Just look at that – «Classical stories». The collection of  boredom. Who reads that anyway?  Those tales are just for little kids. They don’t bring any more magic to my life than

 a  science textbook. Oh, and it’s so hot. /швыряет книгу/

Book warm: Don’t worry. I think I can help you.

Maggie:  But how can you do it?

Book warm: Be patient! Just follow me.

/входят в книгу/

Maggie:  Oh! Where are we?

Book warm: We are in the Book Land.

Maggie:  The Book Land? I have never heard about it.

Book warm: This is a wonderful place where you can meet with your favorite book characters. They are waiting for you, Maggie.

Maggie:  Oh, no! I don’t want to hear about any books. And I repeat again and again: Reading classics is B-O-R-I-N-G.

Book warm: Wait, wait. Trust me and believe you’ll find yourself in the Book land. Look here!

4) Представление героев.

Ведущиe:

-Dear guests! We’d like to invite you to the «Wonderful World of English and American literature»

-We are sure you will recognize those who brought fame and glory to the authors. No doubt, their names are known to you.

(на экране презентация - писатели и герои их произведений)

Ведущие приглашают всех участников на  сцену.

Ведушие: Meet the heroes of different plays:

1. Two precious things - two real beauties: the Happy Prince and the little swallow. They had sacrificed themselves to take away the suffering of the poor and replaced it with the happiness.

2. Always naughty, full of incredible ideas and never quiet, Tom Sawyer, and his beloved Aunt Polly whose heart is nearly broken by her easy- going nephew.

3. This hero doesn`t need to be recognized. He is considered to be one of  the most mysterious characters in the world of literature.  Dorian Grey is his name. 

4. A curious and cheerful girl. She  is seven and a half years old, but seems to behave herself like a somewhat older child. Alice is a rather logical girl, who is ready for the new magic and unusual adventures.

5. They suddenly find out that beauty is next to ugliness, kindness is next to cruelty. Their faces are so much alike. But one of them is the Prince while another is the Pauper.

6. Every child dreams of having such a nurse as Marry Poppins, who understands the language of birds and animals, who can travel round the world without leaving the park, who waits until West Wind blows to float away over the cherry trees and the roofs of the houses, holding tightly to her umbrella.

7. So ardent and rebellious but true friend, she looks and dresses like a boy, that’s why she prefers the name George.Saying about “Five go adventuring again” people mean George, her cousins and their dog.

8. He hates school, doesn't like girls, he is generally a little terror and indulges his rich imagination on his capturers, He calls himself Red Chief.

5) Ведущие представляют разные школы:

- The first item in the repertoire is “The  Happy Prince” by Oscar Wilde. 

“The  Happy Prince”  is a beautiful and sensitive story about a talking bird and his new friend – the statue. The story of sacrifice. It is sad but beautiful. A beautiful story that shows us that the true and important things of life sometimes are invisible to human eyes.

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School № 7

-The second  item in the repertoire is the  children’s story “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” by Mark Twain, which could  be enjoyed by children  and adults. As Mark  said «… the book is intended  mainly for the entertainment  of  boys and girls but also reminds adults of what they once were themselves». So, a beautiful country side where we can see aunt Polly and her naughty boy Tom Sawyer. So many adventures!!!

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School № 3

- The next  item in the repertoire is «The  Portrait of Dorian Gray» by Oscar Wilde. It is a  production with an appealing plot- an artist painted a portrait of a handsome young man – Dorian Grey. Lord Henry told him that people should appreciate only beauty and youth. This idea disturbed Dorian very much, he didn’t want to become old. He lived dishonestly and made a lot of mistakes. He didn’t become old, only his portrait became older and older. Dorian couldn’t stand it and killed the portrait. But indeed he killed himself. People can’t live in the world getting only enjoyment. They   should pay for everything.

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School  №5

- The next performance is “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Luis Carrol.

It was a dream when Alice found herself at the back side of the mirror. It was the same room with a burning fireplace, but the portraits on the wall were whispering something, the clock was smiling and a lot of chess figures were walking there. There were a black king and a black queen; a white king and a white queen; castles and pawns. It was  Wonderland.

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School  №8.

- The next performance is “ The Prince and the Pauper” by Mark Twain.

The story about two boys  -  twins. Two different fates. One is rich, he lives in the palace. The other is very poor. But everything can happen in one’s  life. A  poor boy gets  into the palace. And the rich one gets  into the poor’s   family. What a difficult life can be! And how can the life teach everyone to be honest and noble!

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School  № 6.

- The next performance is “Mary Poppins” by Pamela Travers.

Mary Poppins was a young pretty woman with a good taste. She was a nurse and she has got a very good imagination. She could sing and dance and imagine any fairy tale. The children were happy to have such a nurse as well as their parents.

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School № 9.

- The next performance is “Five on a treasure land” by Enid Blyton.

Two brothers and a sister often come to their aunt’s and uncle’s place for holidays. Together with their cousin they recover different mysteries, holding their own detective inquiry. They often help the police to catch the criminals.

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School  №10

- The next performance is “The Ransom of Red Chief” by O’Henry.

Two men-adventures decided to get some money and kidnapped the richest man’s son. He was the son of the colonel Dorset. They wanted to get two thousand dollars for him. But they couldn’t imagine what a problem this boy was! He made a mockery of these two men. He even tried to get the scalp of one of these men. Of course, the robbers didn’t get any money. To return the boy to his father, they had to pay 250 dollars.

- The  performance  is  staged by the  pupils of School  №1.

6) Ведущий: So, today our travelling in Book land is over.

7) Maggie: Oh, no, no!   Wait, wait!  Why is it over? It’s a pity! Oh, dear! How wonderful it was to find yourself in Book land! Thank you, authors, and thank you, the book characters. Dear book warm, how glad I am to have met you!

Book warm: Oh, Maggie!

Maggie: Now I know for sure that reading classics is not boring, but interesting and exiting!

Ведущий: So, we invite all the participants on the stage and let’s sing the song together!
