My native land, I love you!

We live in a very beautiful land which is called “Tatsinskaya”. The specific feature of it is steppe. We can admire steppe lands and fields with rich crops of golden wheat, green maize and patches of sunflower.  Our district is rich of  natural resources. Different kinds of sand, sandstone, limestone are found in it.

Tatsinskaya is  a geographical, political, economical,  financial  and business  centre of our district. It is one of the largest settlements in our district. Now the Stanitsa Tatsinskaya is a modern and interesting place in our native land. It is the nicest place in the world because it is our motherland. It is situated in the north - east of Rostov–on–Don (230 km) and not far from River Bystraya (20 km).  The climate is continental. So we can clearly define four seasons. The coldest month is January with the average temperature of -10, -15. The hottest month is July with the average temperature of +20, +25.

 The population of Tatsinskaya is more than 11 thousand people. Its total area is 141082 square meters. There are 12 industrial plants and factories, 3 schools, a sport palace, 4 markets, 116 shops, 42 farms, a library here.  It has a hospital, a railway station, a bus station, some restaurants, cafes and bars. There are 83 streets in it.  Many of them are very straight.  The main street is the Street of Lenin (Lenin’s Street). It has 3985 yards.

Tatsinskaya has long and wonderful history. The history of the development of our district is closely connected with the history of the country and the main historical events of it are  reflected in the history of our native land.  There are many legends about our wonderful land.  According some historical documents Stanitsa was founded in 1881 and named “Taly”. Peasants were the first population of it. The first houses were dark and dirty. Children didn’t go to school. The railways came to Tatsinskaya at the beginning of the 20th century. The Stanitsa was named Tatsinskaya in 1908. Later in the 20th century thousand of new houses and public buildings were built.

 During the Great Patriotic War (World War2) Tatsinskaya was occupied by the Nazi and by the end of the war it was in ruins. People worked enthusiastically at the plants, factories and farms. Everybody did his investment in helping the front.

Today there are a lot of interesting places to see in it. For example, Square of Fighters for Revolution is situated in the centre of our Stanitsa.  Here you can see beautiful green lawns and flowerbeds. Every month of spring and summer brings new flowers to the visitors of it. Girls and boys like roller skating and skateboarding on it. There is no traffic in the square. There is a statue of Lenin on it.

 In the centre of Tatsinskaya you can see a beautiful park. The most favourite place of rest of people is the Nechaev’s park.  More than two hundred trees were planted in it. There are  two monuments in it. They are the monument of Grisha Volkov and Fedya Ignatenko and the monument of Russian Pilots. All citizens of Tatsinskaya and their guests like to spend their free time in it. Under the green trees people rest, read books and enjoy the beauty of our nature.

Many visitors like to go along Avenue of Heroes. They can see 9 monuments of Heroes of the Soviet Union. The monument «Proryv” in memory of the Soviet soldiers, killed during the raid of tanks in 1942 was opened in 1983. We lay flowers for those who did not live to see our Great Victory. We must always remember them.

The museum of history of our district is situated in the centre of Tatsinskaya too. It was founded in 1963. The history of our land is reflected in it. It has some halls. There are many exhibits showing the struggle of Russian people against occupants. The museum organizes excursions for schoolchildren and grown – ups. It is visited by the guests of the Stanitsa to learn more about the history of our Motherland, our traditions and customs, our past and present.

 Most of religious people of our district visit the church. Our church is rather new. It was built at the end of the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st centuries.

So you see, our land is very beautiful and we are proud of it.
