Сценарий внеклассного мероприятия по английскому языку в 7 классе на тему “Halloween”

Целями данного мероприятия являются:

- обобщение изученного материала по теме «Хэллоуин»;

- актуализация лексических и грамматических навыков;

- поддержание интереса к изучению английского языка.

Оборудование: тыква, тематические плакаты, раздаточный материал.

Teacher: Good morning boys and girls. Today you are going to have a quest on topic “Halloween”. I want you to divide into two teams and name yourselves.

Класс делится на две команды. Каждая команда придумывает себе название в соответствии с тематикой.

Teacher: Now we are ready to start. The 1st task is to read the text and match the phrases from it. Учащиеся получают одинаковый текст. Прочитав текст, они должны соединить части фраз из текста. Фразы у обеих команд разные.

Halloween is celebrated on October the 31st every year. It originated from a pagan (языческий) holiday and the Christian holiday of All Saints’ Day. The name Halloween is a shortened (сокращенная) version of All Hallows’ Eve. Today, it is more of a fun day for children and has largely lost its religious roots (корни). Halloween is probably (возможно) most famous in the U.S.A. Irish immigrants took it to America in the mid-1600s and it slowly spread (распространился) across the country. Halloween is not celebrated in many countries around the world although many people know about it. Some Christians are not so happy that people celebrate Halloween. They believe the holiday is un-Christian because of its origin (происхождение) as a pagan "festival of the dead."

Halloween has many easily identifiable (узнаваемые) symbols. The colours orange and black are widely used. In particular, orange pumpkins and fires and black witches, cats and costumes are common features of this day. One of the biggest Halloween activities is trick-or-treating. This is when children knock on doors and ask for a small gift. If they don’t get anything, they’ll play a trick on the person who opens the door. Food also plays a big part of Halloween. Toffee (ириска) apples are very popular and so is anything made from pumpkin. Halloween is also a popular topic for Hollywood. Many horror movies have been made about it. Because of this, Halloween is now known in many countries that never actually celebrate it.

Teacher: Excellent! But do you know how to write and some words from the text correctly? Учащиеся получают словосочетания из текста. В каждом из словосочетаний одно из слов написано неправильно (буквы перепутаны). Учащиеся должны правильно записать слова, поменяв буквы местами, а затем правильно произнести вслух получившиеся слова. В данном задании учащиеся могут пользоваться оригиналом текста.

Но порядок слов в них нарушен. Нужно поменять слова местами, чтобы отрывки имели логический смысл. В каждо предложении первое слово написано с заглавной буквы.

Teacher: You worked hard during our competition. But I have one more task for you. Make up as many words as you can from the word “Halloween”. Ученики составляют слова из букв слова "Halloween". Можно писать любые части речи в любой форме (кроме имён собственных), например, "on", "all", и т.д. (Задание является дополнительным и выполняется в зависимости от оставшегося времени).

В конце мероприятия подводятся итоги, команды получают грамоты за 1 и 2 место соответственно (Приложение 1).

Примечание: за каждое правильно выполненное задание команды получают по одному баллу. Также можно добавлять по одному баллу, если задание выполнено раньше установленного времени. В начале мероприятия каждая команда получает оригинальный текст из двух абзацев, на которых основаны все задания. По ходу мероприятия учитель может давать командам либо задания из одного и того же абзаца, либо менять абзацы командам, чтобы усложнить задачу. Также при наличии времени можно дать учащимся задание «Do the puzzle». Нужно собрать картинку из разрезанных фрагментов (Приложение 2).
