Biography William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon on about April 23rd 1564 and died in 1616 at the age of 52. Shakespeare was educated at the local King Edward VI Grammar School in Stratford where he learned Latin and literature. He was marriage at the age of 18 to Anne Hathaway, the daughter of a local farmer, they had twins, Hamlet and Judith. During the 1590s he wrote the majority of his sonnets. By 1592, William had begun a career as a playwright in London. He wrote a lot of classics such as Macbeth, Othello, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Much ado about nothing and many others. Many of his plays are performed at prestigious theaters all around the world.

Hamlet In 1599, Shakespeare wrote Hamlet one of his greatest works. Hamlet is probably his most quoted tragedy. The main character is Prince Hamlet, who wants to revenge his Uncle Claudius for poisoning his father, King of Denmark.

The Taming of the Shrew In 1594 he wrote The Taming of the Shrew, - (Укрощение строптивой) a famous comedy in which a character Petruchio wins a bet for having the most “disobedient” wife Katherina .

Much ado about nothing The young couple — Hero and Claudio will marry in a week. Time goes, and they bet with Don Pedro that will bring together the bachelor Benedict with the self-confident Beatrice, his old acquaintance. While the villain Don John wants to ruin Claudio's wedding, accusing Hero of being unfaithful. It seems difficult to find out the truth but, fortunately, two couples find their happiness and love.
