Merry Easter.

Звучит музыка

Злой ангел: The world is full of sins, pride ,envy, anger, hell, .oceans of sorrow, oceans of  tears, oceans of horror. People kill, die, suffer.

(танец « Злых сил»)

Добрый ангел :

(звучит спокойная музыка.)

People ,listen! Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. He will save the world.

Дети вокальной группы исполняют песню “Silent Night”.(Слайд «Рождение Иисуса Христа.»)

Злой ангел: Christ was rejected, murdered, was crucified, he died on the cross.

Добрый Ангел: Fine message!  Fine message !

Christ is risen!  Christ is risen ! He is risen indeed!

It was so:

“Suddenly there was a great earthquake and the angle of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door of the tomb and sat on it.

And the angel said :”I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here , he is risen.”

Now Easter is a very popular holiday in commemoration  of the resurrection of Jesus.

Ester has no fixed date . It is held on the first Sunday  after the date of the first full moon that occurs on or after March ,21. People nowadays greet each other  by the words “Christ is risen !”

And the expected answer is “He is risen indeed!” People also paint eggs and give them to their relatives and friends as a symbol of eternal life.

People buy new clothes  to wear on Easter Sunday .There is a popular belief that wearing three new things at Easter will bring good luck in the year.

After church services many people like to take walks down the streets in their new Easter hats and suits.This colourful procession of people dressed in bright new spring clothes is called the Easter parade. Look! Here’s our Easter parade .

What does” Easter “mean ?

 Pupil1: The word “Easter” comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess of the dawn whose spring festival was celebrated in April. Before the arrival of Christianity, people believed that the sun died in winter  and was born again in spring. On the day of the spring equinox they used to sing and dance as the sun rose in the sky. Although it is a Christian festival, the customs and legends of Easter celebrations are pagan in origin.

Pupil2: Easter is a religious holiday,  celebrating the.

resurrection of Jesus Christ ,the son of the God . It is at the end of Lent during which children all over the world give up sweets and make other sacrifices in preparation for the highest festival of the church year.

Pupil3: Easter symbols are: the Cross, eggs, Easter rabbits. The Cross has a special meaning to christians. It represents Christ’s victory over death .It is a significant Easter symbol.

Pupil4:Long ago some people believed that the earth appeared from a gigantic egg. On Easter Sunday families and friends exchange chocolate eggs. This custom dates back  to ancient times when Egyptians used to paint eggs in bright colours to represent the sunlight of spring and give them to friends as a symbol

of new life.

It’s true that in ancient Egypt the rabbit symbolized the moon, new life and birth .All around the world, many children believe that the Easter rabbit (or bunny ) brings eggs and hides them  for children on Easter morning .There are many different legends but here is a popular one.

Long ago in Germany there lived an old woman who loved  children .Each  year she gave children presents to celebrate spring. But one year she had nothing to give because it was a bad year and she had become very poor. All she had were some eggs .So she coloured the eggs and hid them in the grass. When the children arrived, she told them to run out into the yard to find  their presents there. Just as one of the children uncovered the eggs, a large rabbit hopped away. So the children thought that the rabbit had left the eggs for them. And ever since children have searched for the eggs left by the Easter rabbit  on Easter morning .It is called  the Easter Egg Hunt.

During Easter everyone should rest and have fun.

Eggs are an important part of Easter sports .Romans celebrated Easter by running races on  an oval track and giving eggs as prizes .One of the traditional Easter eggs games is the Easter Egg Roll.

Perhaps the most famous egg rolling takes place on the White House lawn in Washington. Hundreds of children come with baskets filled with brightly decorated eggs and rolled them down hoping the president of the United States is watching the fun.

The rules of the Easter Egg Roll are to see who can roll an egg the greatest distance down a grassy hillside without breaking it. We haven’t got a grassy lawn but there is a” hillside” here.

Now you know a lot about Easter eggs .And what about Hot Cross  Buns? People hot cross buns on Good Friday, it is the day before Easter Sunday .There is a white cross on a bun. And there is another legend about the buns.:

Narrator:

Once, long ago in England ,there lived a monk.

Monk:

I go round my town , along the streets and see many poor families. Easter in two days and on that great holiday families should not be hungry. What should I do for them? A baker’s shop...Oh! I’ll bake many spiced buns with raisins inside! I’ll decorate them with cross and give them to the poor families.

Narrator:

And so he did.

Then he saw a little boy nearby.

Monk:

What’s your name, little boy ?

Boy:

Giles.

Monk:

Do you want my buns, Giles?

Boy:

No, thank you. I don’t want charity .Could you bake me me a basket full of buns, that I can sell?

Narrator:

The boy was in ragged clothes and had a dirty face .The monk felt sorry for him .But the boy had pride.

Monk:

All right, I’ll bake you a basket of the buns.

Narrator:

That Easter morning Giles took his basket and went from house to house singing out in a voice that carried over the clear air.

Hot cross buns,

Hot cross buns.

One a penny,

Two a penny,

Hot cross buns.

If you have no daughters

Give them to your sons.

Two a penny,

Narrator: Before Mass that morning Giles had sold all the buns. He put the money he had earned in the “poor box” at church.  From this day, children all over the world sing this song.
