Урок - КВН для учащихся 6А и 7А классов «A - BATTLE»

Цели:

1. Проконтролировать знания и умения учащихся в разных видах речевой деятельности – чтении, письме, диалогической речи;
2. Развивать интерес учащихся к изучению английского языка;
3. Создавать ситуации по применению приобретенных знаний по предмету;
4. Развивать коммуникабельность;
5. Воспитывать умение работать в группах.

Оснащение: карточки со словами для конкурса пантомим, карточки с английскими буквами, карточки с неправильными глаголами, карточки с поговорками, аудиомагнитофон, жетоны.

Ход урока

1.Организационный момент. Представление команд. Dear friends! Welcome to the club of Merry and Quick-witted! You are the first team and you are the second team. Captains, introduce your teams, please.

2. Конкурс-пантомима.
Учащийся должен объяснить своей команде мимикой и жестами предложенные слова. Представитель команды должен за одну минуту “показать” как можно больше слов.

Show pantomime! You shouldn`t say a single word, let your team guess what you mean.
Words: a letter; a book, a mobile phone, the Sun, a horse, to ski, to play computer, boots, a house, an eagle, a cake, a mother, a parrot, a rose, a bee, to cry, to sleep, to fly, the Internet, a watch, a photo, to play tennis, to skate, to skip, to dance, Hew Year, to drink, a frog, a fox, a hare, a snake, a deer, a rhino.

3. Конкурс загадок.
Учитель загадывает загадки, команда, ответившая первой, получает жетон.
Guess the riddles.
1. Your mother cooks breakfast, dinner, supper on it. (stove)
2. You watch it, when you have some free time. (TV)
3. You sleep in it. (bed)
4. You put cheese, milk, meat, fish in it. (fridge)
5. You put books on it. (shelf)

6. A lot of spots.  A long, long neck. A funny scarf.  It ‘s a … GIRAFFE.
7. Green and long

With many teeth.

Beautiful smile -

It`s … A CROCODILE.

8. As red as fire,

With a fuzzy tale.

He likes long walks.

It is … A FOX.

9. A very long nose.

It grows and grows.

Не is huge and likes fun.

It is … AN ELEPHANT.

10. Lives in seas and rivers..

His hands are like two pincers.

As round as a cab. Who is it? -

It is … A CRAB. 

11. Likes so much

To toss his mane (трясти гривой).

Eats green grass and macaroni.

Who is it? – It is … A PONY.

12. So colorful and bright,

Is fond of talking much.

Likes eating carrot

It is … A PARROT.

4.  Конкурс стихотворений.
Ребята из разных команд по очереди читают английские стихотворения, которые они выучили в течение года.

5. Игра для зрителей!

Придумай, какие слова можно собрать из следующих букв. Ребятам предлагается набор букв, из которых они должны составить как можно больше слов за определённое время. Команда, составившая больше слов, получает жетон победителя конкурса. Make up as many words as you may out of the next letters: I P K O L B E O P A N E R V

6.  Конкурс капитанов.

Учитель показывает карточки, на которых написаны первые формы неправильных глаголов. Капитаны называют вторую и третью форму доставшегося неправильного глагола, а также его перевод. Капитан команды, сделавший меньше ошибок, получает жетон. You, captains, should name the second and the third form of the irregular verb I show to you. And tell us its translation, please.

Verbs:

Be, become, begin, break, bring, build, buy, choose, come, cut, do, drink, eat, feed, feel, fight, fly, give, keep, speak, write, take.

7. Викторина. Listen and say who they were.  

1) He discovered Australia. (Captain James Cook).
2) An English writer, whose most famous novel is “Robinson Crusoe”. (Daniel Defoe).
3) He was the prime minister of Great Britain during World War II. (Sir Winston Churchill).
4) He was the first person to be elected the President of the United States. (George Washington).
5) He was the youngest President the USA has ever had, but he was assassinated in 1963. (John Kennedy).
6) An English writer of popular books and plays who wrote 75 detective stories. (Agatha Christie).
7) He was the architect of the famous St. Paul`s Cathedral. (Sir Christopher Wren).
8) He was the National Hero of Britain, the defender of the poor people. (Robin Hood).

9) Where is Great Britain situated? (On the British Isles).
10) What are the four parts of Great Britain? (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland).
11) What is the full name of Britain? (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
12) What is the only country in the world which occupies a whole continent? (Australia).
13) What is the capital of Australia? (Canberra).
14) What country is sometimes called “The World`s Biggest Farm”? (New Zealand).
15) What languages are spoken in New Zealand? (English and Maori).
16) Which country stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west? (The United States of America).
17) What motto do the USA have? (“In God We Trust”).
18) What is the second largest country in the world? (Canada).
19) What is the official emblem of Canada? (the maple leaf).
20) What official languages are spoken in Canada? (English, French).

8. Конкурс «Самый быстрый». Even native speakers of English find very difficult to say tongue – twisters quickly. How quickly can you say it?

1) Six selfish shellfish.
2) Unique New York.
3) She sells sea-shells on the seashore.
4) Peter Piper picked a pick of pickled peppers.
5) Sister Suzie sits and sews sailor`s shirts.
6) Robert Rowley rolled a round roll round.

9. Музыкальный конкурс. Отгадай гимн страны!

10. Подведение итогов. Награждение команд.
