Ход мероприятия:

 (Мероприятие начинается с исполнения песни «Jingle Bells»)

Jingle Bells

Dashing through the snow

In a one horse, open sleigh,

Over the fields we go,

Laughing all the way

Bells on bobtail ring,

Making spirits bright.

What fun it is to ride and sing

 A sleighing song tonight!

Refrain:    Jingle Bells,

Jingle Bells,

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse, open sleigh!

Jingle Bells,

Jingle Bells,

Jingle all the way

Oh, what fun it is to ride

In a one horse, open sleigh!

A day or two ago,

I thought I’d take a ride,

And soon Miss Fanny Bright

Was seated by my side.

The horse was lean and lank,

Misfortune seemed his lot.

He got into a drifted bank

And we, we got up sot!

Refrain:

Ведущий 1: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! We are very glad to see you today at our party! We would like to celebrate Christmas and New Year with you together!

Ведущий 2: Do you know where the holiday came from and how people celebrate it?

Ведущий 1: Of course, I know. I can tell you some words about it.

(Монолог о Рождестве)

The traditional English dinner on Christmas Day is roast turkey and Christmas pudding.

The Queen’s speech is on television at 3.00 p.m.

During Christmas in Trafalgar Square there is a Christmas tree.

Ведущий 2: But soon after Christmas comes New Year.

(Монолог о Новом Годе)

Not all people celebrate New Year. Those who do celebrate it on the 31st of December. It’s fun to see the New Year in. The party usually begins at eight o’clock in the evening. At twelve o’clock, they have a toast to the New Year. The party goes on till early morning. There is a lot of dancing, eating and drinking.

There is an interesting New Year tradition: in Scotland, you can go “first footing”. That is – you visit friends, so you are the “first foot” of the New Year in their houses. In Scotland, the first visitor who comes into a house on New Year’ morning is “the First Foot”.

The Scots believe that the First Foot brings luck to the family for the New Year. In Scotland the First Foot must be a man (or a boy), not a woman! And he must have dark hair.

Ведущий 1: Hey, look, there is a New Year Tree. Let’s decorate it!

(Украшают новогоднюю елку и поют песню «Oh, New Year Tree»)

New Year Tree

I. O New Year Tree, O New Year Tree,

Your gay green dress delights us!

O New Year Tree, O New Year Tree,

Your gay green dress delights us!

You do not fade with winter’s snow,

You bloom with lights when cold winds blow.

O New Year Tree, O New Year Tree,

Your gay green dress delights us!

II. O New Year Tree, O New Year Tree

You give us so much pleasure!

O New Year Tree, O New Year Tree

You give us so much pleasure!

You do not fade with winter’s snow,

You bloom with lights when cold winds blow.

O New Year Tree, O New Year Tree,

You give us so much pleasure!

Ведущий 2: On Christmas and New Year people give presents to each other. Look, there are presents under our New Year Tree!

(Читают этикетки с именами и дарят подарки друг другу)

(Поют все вместе песню «Happy New Year. ABBA»)

Happy New Year

(Abba)

1. No more champagne and the fireworks are through

Here we are, me and you, feeling lost, some feeling blue.

It’s the end of the party and the morning seems so grey,

So unlike yesterday. Now’s the time for us to say:

Refrain:     Happy New Year, Happy New Year!

May we all ever wish and now and then

All the world where every neighbor is a friend.

Happy New Year, Happy New Year!

May we all ever long so will to try

If we don’t we might as well lay down and die you and I.

2. Sometimes I know how the brave new world arrives

And I see how it thrives in the ashes over nights.

Oh, yes, man is so fool and he thinks he’ll be o’key,

Thriving on, feel o’key, never knowing he’s afraid,

It’s a knowing anyway.

3.Seems to me now that the dreams we had before

Are all dead, nothing more than company on the floor.

That’s the end of the decade in another ten years’ time

Who can say, what we’ll find

What lies waiting down the line in the end of eighty nine.

Refrain:

Все вместе: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”
