Цель: привить уважение гордость за страну: знакомство с особенностями географического положения страны, достопримечательностями  Москвы и Новороссийска

Задачи: развитие навыков монологической и диалогической речи, умение обобщать материалы и отвечать на вопросы.

Знакомство с целями и задачами данного проекта, выбор темы проекта, определение групп по интересам, распределение ролей внутри группы.

        Темы проектов:

Russia is one of the greatest countries in the world.

Moscow is the capital of the country.

I am proud of my country  and my native place.

Подготовка проекта, создание макетов проекта, подбор иллюстраций, консультации с учителем.

Teacher: Good afternoon! Today we go on our topic Russia. To be proud of one’s motherland one should know his own country. Any country and its future depend on its people of the country. And should think what will you do to make our country more developed. We’ve been talking about Russia; our Country is a great one and a great future is waiting for it.

        What do you know about your own country?

First student: Russia is the largest country in the world. Russia has one-sixth of the world’s forests. They are concentrated in the European north of the country, in Siberia and in the Far East. The main Siberia rivers the Ob, the Yenisei and the Lena-flow from the south to the Far East flows into the Pacific Ocean. The nature is wild and still virgin here.

Second student: The central European part of Russia is situated on the Great Russian Plain. It is the most populated part of Russia. The capital of the country Moscow  and a number of large and important cities are situated here. Since ancient times this part of Russia was famous for its mild beauty. The climate is temperate. The Great Russian Plain is so huge that in the north of it one can observe woods and forests and in the south boundless steppes.

Third student: Ural attracted the Russian people from the ancient times. This region  was and still is rich in its natural resources. The climate is continental and due to it one can enjoy here the hot summer and frosty winter. Ural is famous for its mountains. The Urals separate Europe from Asia. One can also see blue mirrors of the lakes and green forests in summer.

Fourth student: The southern point of Russia is situated in the Caucasus. Thanks to the Black Sea the climate is mild. Practically the whole year the days are hot and sunny while the tops of the mountains are covered with snow.

Fifth student: The north of Russia is washed by Arctic Ocean that’s why the northern lands of our country are covered with ice and snow almost all the year round.  People  inhabiting this territory can enjoy the warmth of the sun and flowers only for a short period of time. The climate is arctic and very severe but you can ski, skate and play snowballs here the whole year. Our country is large and beautiful. It has great past and promising future.

Ученики рассказывают о географическом положении России, пользуясь картой. Ученики, разделившись на две группы, проводят презентацию проекта, возможно, презентация будет сопровождаться демонстрацией стенгазет.

The Russian Federation (Russian: Российская Федерация, transliteration: Rossiyskaya Federatsiya or Rossijskaja Federacija), or Russia (Россия, Rossiya or Rossija), is a country that starches our a vast expence of eastern Europe and northern Asia. With an area of  17,075,400 (6,595,600 ), it is the largest country in the world, covering almost twice the territory of the next-largest nation, Canada. It ranks eighth in the world in population, following China, India, the United States, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Formerly the dominant republic of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), Russia is an independent country, and an influential member  of the Commonwealth of Independent States, since the union’s dissolution in December 1991. In the Soviet Union Russia was called the Russian Soviet Federated Socialistic Republic(RSFSR).

Most of the area, population, and industrial production of the Soviet Union, then one of the world’s to superpowers, lay in Russia. Consequently, after the breakup of the USSR, Russia again vied for an influential role on the world stage. This influence is notable, but is still far from that of the former Soviet.

The Russian Federation comprises 85 federal subjects, namely:

47 oblasts(provinces)

21 republics(states) which enjoy a high degree of autonomy on most issues and which correspond to some of Russia’s numerous ethnic minorities.

Eight krais(territories)

Six okrugs ( autonomous districts)

Two federal cities(Moscow and St.Petersburg)

The Jewish Autonomous Oblast.

Federal districts

Federal subjects are grouped into federal districts, four in Europe and three in Asia. Unlike the federal subjects, the federal districts are not a sub national level of government, but are a level of administration of the federal government.
