Hello, my dear friends! I’m glad to see you. How are you?

Today we are playing. Our linguistic game is called «Intellectual Marathon». Do you like English? I wish you good luck! For this competition you should divide into two teams. Let’s do it. I have cards of two colours. Please, close your eyes and choose any card. The pupils with red cards will play in the first team. The pupils with green cards will play in the second team.

Учитель приготовил карточки красного и зеленого цвета. Команды формируются в соответствии с выбранными цветами.

Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game.

The first competition.

You can see the word “Misunderstanding” on the blackboard. Make up as many words from it as possible. You have only three minutes. The team that will make up more words wins.

Примерные слова: Understand, ear, date, sun, dentist, dress, dream, rain, read, ten, time, star, red, sea, great, tree, train, meat, seat etc. miss, mess, stand…

The second competition.

Match the two parts of each word.

The third competition.

Tell the”Opposite words”

 Команды должны назвать антонимы к предложенным словам. Учитель называет по 5 слов каждой команде.  Если ученики не могут назвать антоним, то право назвать слово переходит к их соперникам.

The fourth competition.

Take the first letter from the name of each animal depicted in the picture and compose a keyword.

Возьмите первую букву из названия каждого животного, изображенного на картинке, и составьте ключевое слово.

Ответ: Cow, lion, ant, squirrel, snake, rhino(ceros), octopus, owl, monkey – classroom.

The fifth competition.

Read the encoded riddle in English. Write it down and give an answer to the question.

Прочитайте зашифрованную  загадку на  английском  языке.  Запишите её  и дайте ответ на вопрос.

 Ответ: It is a fruit, it’s not a flower. It is yellow and very sour.  What is it? (Слова отражены сверху вниз). It’s a lemon.

The next task.

“Mistakes” – find a spelling mistake in one word of each sentence.

•        I have brekfast at eight.

•        Her mather and father are teachers.

•        She is a doktor.

•        Five plus seven is tvelve.

•        My cet is fat and fanny.

•        The boy likes to sleep in a big ded.

•        His sun is good at Sport.

•        I like to drink koffee.

•        March, Aprel and May are spring months.

•        Nick’s eyes are broun.

Учитель выдаёт учащимся ручки, лист для записи ответов, лист с заданием и объясняет его выполнение.

Дано 10 предложений; в каждом одно слово написано с ошибкой. Задача команды найти ошибку и написать это слово правильно на своём листе. Время на выполнение задания – 4 минуты. 1 минута даётся на объяснение задания и подведение итогов. За каждое правильно написанное слово – 1 балл. Максимальное количество баллов на этой станции – 10.

Реквизит: лист с заданием, лист для записи слов (по одному на команду), ручки.

The next task  ”My family”

You should find 14 family members.

Командам раздаются карточки, где они должны найти 14 названий членов семьи. За каждое найденное слово команда получает одно очко.

The eighth competition. “Magic-5”

Your task is -- Look at the square, choose the number and answer the question. You can get 5 points for the right answer.

Listen to the story very attentively and draw the detailed illustration.

This is a Halloween party. There is a spider under the table. It’s black and it’s got eight legs. There are two witches near the table. One witch has got long black hair and a very big nose. She is very ugly. The second witch is small with green hair. She is wearing a red shirt and an orange skirt. She is beautiful! There is a skeleton in front of the table. It’s very, very thin! The ghost is flying in the room.

The competition is over! Thank you very much! You are nice, very friendly and cool children!

Look at the screen. You should find the words, which hidden in others. For example in word APRICOT – you can find  CAR

Найдите слова, спрятанные в других. (Например, в абрикосе можно найти машину: APRICOT  –  CAR).  Предлагаем вам отыскать:

First, find the Months inside which the words: олень, сапог, ягода are hidden

А) Месяца, внутри которых прячутся… 1) олень, 2) сапог, 3) ягода.

Second, find the Days of the week in which you can find: звезду, море, фею

B) Дни недели, в которых можно найти: 1) звезду, 2) море, 3) фею.

Ответ Months: 1) December – deer 2) October – boot 3) February – berry.

Days: 1) star – Saturday, Thursday 2) sea – Tuesday, Wednesday 3) Friday – fairy
