Скороговорки — это увлекательно. Как использовать скороговорки на уроках английского языка?

Во время работы в школе я всегда уделяла внимание правильному произношению. И скороговорки стали хорошим помощником в этом. Всегда хотелось, чтобы дети учились не только правильно произносить тот или иной звук, но чтобы это было увлекательно. У меня накопился определенный опыт работы со скороговорками, и я хочу поделиться им с вами. Когда-то я делала карточки с картинкой на определенный звук и писала рифмовку, но сейчас есть компьютер, и я делаю презентации.

Несколько приемов работы с рифмовками.

Первое. Работа с картинкой.

Сложность вопросов выбирается в зависимости от уровня владения английским языком.

— Name the sound, please. (Показываю на звук)

— What's this? (It’s a monkey.)

— What colour is it? (It’s orange, red and grey)

— Where is the monkey? (In the tree.)

— What is it doing? (It is sitting).

— Is it happy? (Angry, tired, wet…)

Второе. Listen to me and repeat

Сначала я произношу рифмовку очень медленно, чтобы ознакомить с произношением звука. Затем учащиеся повторяют за мной по небольшим смысловым группам и хлопают в ладоши, услышав заданный звук в рифмовке. Объясняю значение слов, которые учащиеся не знают. Потом я громко еще раз произношу рифмовку, а дети повторяют. И так 3-4 раза.

Учащиеся самостоятельно проговаривают 1-2 раза так быстро, как только могут, стараясь не делать ошибки в произношении.

Третье. Запись рифмовки и изготовление интерактивных плакатов

Проработав над скороговорками 1-3 урока, дети записывают ее в тетрадь. (Или начинают оформлять книжки-раскладушки с рифмовками, а продвинутые ученики — интерактивные плакаты). Дома практикуются в произношении. На последующих уроках я спрашиваю всех остальных детей и ввожу новые рифмовки.

Четвертое. Разыгрываем рифмовку

Можно разыграть рифмовку, используя пальчиковые игрушки. Сначала вызываются к доске «сильные» ученики, а потом все работают в парах. Учитель ходит по классу и слушает каждую пару (группу). Если есть необходимость — помогает.

Пятое. Конкурс «Лучший чтец рифмовок»

(В конце четверти). С критериями оценивания дети знакомятся в начале четверти. Это: правильность произношения, быстрота, четкость и артистизм. На уроках последней недели проводятся четверть финала, полуфинал и финал. Обязательно небольшие призы (кроме оценки).

Этот конкурс можно провести иначе.

Класс делится на две команды. Из колоды с рифмовками учитель достает любую рифмовку не глядя и отдает первой команде. Участники команды быстро обсуждают, кто будет произносить ее. Если участник выполнил задание правильно, то команда получает 3 балла. Такая процедура повторяется и для другой команды. Если участник произнес рифмовку неверно, то желающий из другой команды может сразу же произнести эту рифмовку, и его команда получает 2 балла. Побеждает команда, набравшая наибольшее количество баллов.

Шестое. Сопоставление

Для учащихся, изучающих английский язык первый год (в конце четверти).

Соотнести рифмовку с картинкой и прочитать любимую (понравившуюся).

У каждого ученика лист А4, на котором слева — рифмовки, а справа —картинка.

Седьмое. Игра в карты

Делаются карты на рифмовки, которые уже изучили и добавляются новые 2-3 рифмовки. Размер карточки учитель выбирает сам. Дети садятся в круг (по 4-5 человек). Карты кладутся «лицом» вниз и перемешиваются. Играем по часовой стрелке. Первый игрок берет карту, показывает ее всем и произносит рифмовку громко, быстро и правильно 3 раза.

Если игрок выполнил условие правильно, то оставляет карту себе. Если не верно, карточка кладется на место и все перемешивается. Игрок, который собрал большинство карт — победитель.

Восьмое. «Our Silly Tongue Twister». (Создаем свою рифмовку)

Каждый учащийся выбирает букву и звук, который передается этой буквой, для будущей рифмовки. Затем пишет 6 слов, которые начинаются с этой буквы. Выбирает из этого списка 4 слова и придумывает свою рифмовку.

Если время не позволяет выполнить на уроке все задания, можно часть этого задания оставить на дом.

При выполнении любого задания, учитель должен четко следовать отведенному времени на это задание на его уроке и не забывать о поощрении.

Новые рифмовки вводятся каждую неделю.

Перевод скороговорок дело неблагодарное, поэтому не старайтесь перевести их дословно, многие из них просто не имеют явного смысла. Иногда достаточно понять слова, уловить общий смысл и проговорить фразу вслух.
