Задачи:      - научить применять новые слова и фразы в  разговорных ситуациях  

                       задавать  вопросы по теме

                      читать текст и выполнить задания

                       закрепить навык описания картинки

1  It is in the hot , dry state of America where the lands has fantastic colours not just brown and green but red pink orange and blue. It was made by the Colorado River cutting through the rock many thousands of years ago Today it is 1600 metres deep 446 km long with rocks in extraordinary shapes

2  It is in the Rocky Mountains in the states of Idaho.,Wyoming and Montana .It is famous for the geyser called Old Faithful ,that shoots hot water up into the air up to 55 metres high

3  Canada and the USA meet there They are an important route for ships travelling from the Atlantic to the Midwest along the St Lawrence Seaway Lakes Ontario ,Erio ,Horon ,Michigan and Superior cover 244 108 square kilometres- more than any other group of lakes in the world If you go threre in the summer it is almost like going to the sea ;you can lie on the beach or sail a boat But in winter it is very cold

4 They are between Lakes Ontario and Erie They are 51 metres high You can look at them from the top from Canada or the USA  or you can take a boat trip and see them from below

5 In the Badlands National Park of South Dakota visitors can admire the Black Hills of Dakotta which are famous for it where the faces of four American presidents Washington, Jefferson ,Lincoln and Theodor Roosvelt were cut in the rock It took fourteen years from 1927 to 1941

6 These holiday islands are a long way from the other states of the USA Many Americans go there to engoy the beaches and the warm sunshine Although there are a lot of tourists you can escape to quieter places where  you can see trees ,waterfalls and many unusual plants and birds

4Choose the place in the USA you would like to visit and explain your choice
