Mary Arden 's house, three miles north-west of Stratford-upon-Avon . Home of Shakespeare's grandparents and childhood home of Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden . It is looking like typical farm house of the period. Now it is countryside museum. Devoted to showing country life from Tudor times to the present day. Here you can see rare breeds of sheep, cattle and poultry. Mary Arden inherited this beautiful Tudor farmhouse and land, in 1556 from her father Robert . Mary Arden's house.

It is very interesting that William Shakespeare died on his birthday, 23 April, 1616. House « New place » was at the corner of streets Chaple Street and Chaple Lane. Shakespeare has bought this house in 1597. The most part of his time Shakespeare lived in London, but last years of his live he lived in « New place » . Unfortunately, the house was destroyed. Another memorial to William Shakespeare is the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The present building was constructed in 1932.
