Dear friends we welcome you to our excursion about our native town Novomoskovsk.

We start our excursion near the remarkable place the beginning of the great Russian river Don. This place is beautifully decorated. You can see a sculptural composition symbolizing the two rivers Don and Shat.

Citizens and guests of our town like spending their free time here.

Not long ago the tradition of planting young trees along the brides’ alley was set up.

The Children's Park is also one of the most popular places in our town.

Soon it will be reorganized and will have a large pond where people will be able to swim or go boating.

We can't but mention our Children's Railway. It was built in 1953 and now it is one of the best in Russia.

Now we are going along  Komsomolskaya Street to the centre of the town.

During  New Year holidays it is colourfully decorated. People admire a big tree, listen to music, have rides and enjoy themselves.

Of course, during our virtual excursion we’ll see some monuments. The monuments to N. Rudnev, D.Donskoy, M.Glinka are situated in the centre of Novomoskovsk.

Now, you see the monument to the great Russian poet A.Pushkin situated in the green public garden. Near it there is Pushkin school where children study the live and literary activity of this great poet.

In our town park you can visit the memorial complex “ETERNAL GLORY’’ and put flowers on the mass grave of those citizens who defended our Motherland during the Great Patriotic War.

Our town is proud of its sports achievements. The newly built “Ice Palace” has already become a centre of skating and hockey playing.

If you are interested in the history of Novomoskovsk you can visit our local museum which is in the centre of the town.
