Celebrations United States Americans play small tricks on friends and strangers alike on the first of April. One common trick is pointing down to a friend's shoe and saying, "Your shoelace is untied." England - Tricks can be played only in the morning. If a trick is played on you, you are a "noodle". Scotland - April Fools' Day is actually celebrated for two days and the custom is known as "hunting the gowk " (the cuckoo), and April fools are "April gowks ". The second day is devoted to pranks involving the posterior region of the body. It is called Taily Day. The origin of the "kick me" sign can be traced to this observance.
April Fools' Day has spread around the world France . French children fool their friends by taping a paper fish to their backs. When the young victim discovers this trick, the prankster yells " Poisson d'Avril !"

Australian April Fool's Day Australia's This Day Tonight ran a segment about the "Dial-O-Fish," a new electronic fishing rod that could be set to catch any desired species. Pinanas (2009) British supermarket chain Waitrose placed ads in newspapers announcing the availability of a new fruit, the pinana (a combination of pineapple and banana). The text of the ad read : “ Pinanas . Fresh in today and exclusive to Waitrose. If you find that all Waitrose pinanas have sold out, don't worry, there's 50% off our essential Waitrose strawberries .”
Gmail Motion (2011) Google designed a new feature that allows people to eliminate the use of keyboards and mice and instead write emails using only gestures, which Gmail would track using your computer webcam and a "spatial tracking algorithm." Google did note that safety precautions should be observed before using Gmail Motion. Users were advised to clear 4 feet of space around them and to take breaks every 30-40 minutes.
