Full name of the Queen of Great Britain is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary. She was born on the 21 of April, 1926, in London and educated privately at home.

She became the United Kingdom’s leading monarch on February 6, 1952 at the age of 25, and was crowned on June 2, 1953. Her 60 years on the throne was celebrated in June 2012, with the Diamond Jubilee. She is the longest-lived and second-longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom

Elizabeth celebrates her birthday twice a year: first in April and then on the first, second, or third Saturday in June in the hope of good weather. This tradition lasts for 50 years. She is the only person in Britain with two birthdays.

The official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II is marked each year by a military parade, known as Trooping the Colour (Carrying of the Flag). The official name is “the Queen’s Birthday Parade». Each June, the Queen and other members of the Royal Family attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony on Horse Guards Parade , Whitehall in London . The Queen attends the ceremony to take the salute from thousands of guardsmen who parade the Colour.

The Queen's birthday parade is the biggest royal event of the year. The parade route goes from Buckingham Palace along The Mall to Horse guards Parade, Whitehall and back again.

Queen leaves Buckingham Palace at 10.40 am. Parade starts at 11 am. Precisely as the clock on the Horse Guards Building strikes eleven, the Royal Procession arrives at Horse guards Parade and The Queen takes the Royal Salute.

The parade begins with the Inspection, The Queen driving slowly down the ranks of all eight Guards and then past the Household Cavalry. The ceremony ends with the Queen returning to Buckingham Palace at the head of her Guards.

After the event, the Royal Family gathers on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch an RAF fly past at 1pm.

We made a research at our school and asked these questions to the students: When is British Queen’s birthday? How many years is Elisabeth II the Queen of Great Britain? How is Queen’s birthday celebrated in Great Britain ?

We got the following answers: 1.12 % of students know the date of birth of British Queen. 2.Only 6% of students know how many years Elisabeth II is the Queen of the UK. 3. 21% of students know how Queen’s birthday is celebrated in Great Britain.
