My favourite corner

Native land, favorite place, what is it? For me, this is my village, where I was born. There is a special place here where I go with great pleasure and willingly invite my friends. This is our lake Chlya. Presumably, the name "Chlya" comes from the Nivkh word "tly", which in Russian means "heavenly", so  blue. Therefore, Lake Chlya is Blue lake. About thirty species of fish live in our lake, among them there are from "Red book". Four archaeological monuments of cultural heritage have been identified on its shores.

Nature has created such beauty for us, beauty that cannot be expressed in words. In the early morning, a thick fog swirls over the lake, through which the first rays of the sun are breaking through. The surface of the lake is reflected in its rays, amuses our eyes, the noise of the water calms the human soul.  In calm weather on the lake there are no ripples on the surface of the water and the branches of young pine trees on the shore are motionless.

I like to come here and look at the stillness of the waters, at the quiet light of the evening sky at sunset and its mirror reflection in the lake. The expanse opening from the shore of the lake conveys a great mood, where there is a place for sadness and hopes for a bright tomorrow.
