Rights of students at school.

The student like any other person, has rights. Education is an integral part of the harmonious development of personality and get it is the right of the child. However, the student has duties that he must fulfill while attending school. Knowledge of their rights and responsibilities helps to create an appropriate working environment conducive to successful learning, the development of cultural behavior, respect for the individual. The rights and obligations of the child are protected by the law of his country and the Convention on the rights of the student, adopted by the UN.

The rights of the school student at school

So, each pupil has rights:

to get an education it is free and according to the state educational standard;

to choose school at which will study, and an education form (at school or at home, according to the general or accelerated program);

respect of the advantage without infringement or discrimination on any sign, and also the right for security of person;

to study in worthy conditions (a safe situation, in pure and warm classes, with possibility of receiving high-quality food),

freely to express the views and belief, but in a correct form, without infringement of the rights and dignity of other pupils and staff of school;

to receive the preliminary notice of terms and volumes of examinations, thus during in one school day only one examination can be carried out;

to be trained in the native language and to complete a course of the World history in an objective statement;

to receive estimates in each school subject according to the knowledge and abilities and information on criteria of their exposure;

to have a rest during vacation, in breaks between lessons, at the weekend;

to participate in management of school and in her cultural life, organized actions;

to get access to technical resources of educational institution (for example, to books from school library) it is free;

to attend additional classes, open classrooms, circles;

on a freedom of worship, information, words and press, creativity.

Duties of school students

But each child needs not only know, what rights the school student has, but also to carry out the following duties:

to follow the Charter of school, to attend classes according to the schedule and not to be late;

to follow instructions of the director, teachers, the class teacher and other employees of educational institution;

to study honestly, to perform homeworks systematically, to expand knowledge, to improve skills;

it is economical treats property of educational institution, to observe purity in the building and the adjacent territory;

is respectful to other pupils, younger school students, and also to the staff of school;

to take part in cleaning of school classes, in actions for improvement of the adjacent territory and watch for school;

to put on purely and modestly, to look tidy;

at the admission of occupations to show explanatory from parents or the reference from the doctor;

to observe the property right and to understand that clothes, school supplies, etc., being in school, belong to their owners;

rights and duties of younger school students

to care of own safety and health, and also about health of people around, to follow the established safety regulations: not to smoke, not to do alcohol and drugs, not to bring toxic and explosive substances in school.

It is necessary to acquaint with the provisions stated above children who only started going to school. It will help them to build correctly the relations with schoolmates, teachers and the personnel, to avoid infringement of the rights, to defend correctness, to be involved in educational process. Acquaintance with the rights and duties of younger school students is carried out at out-of-class lessons and all-school actions.
