Эссе "Школьные поездки"

Today pupils go on school trips more often. Some people say that these journeys can be interesting and teaching. Others think it is not necessary. Pupils should gain knowledge directly at school. There is no common opinion on school trips.

To my mind, there are great numbers of school excursions. Children can visit other cities and towns, theatres and galleries, museums and different camps. They can choose where to go according to their wishes, interests, hobbies and parents’ opportunities. One of the positive aspects of school trips is meeting new friends. Communication with other people helps boys and girls feel them more confident. Moreover, if the trip is educational students may learn history of their country and region. Not only learn but feel national Russian soul throughout the architecture of old villages and orthodox churches and cathedrals. In addition to that, all the educational establishments and centres try to hold different kinds of exhibitions and so-called “days of open door”. It helps young people to determinate with their future profession.

Others believe that school trips are useless. It is just a waste of time and money. Pupils must spend more time on their core subjects. They have to pass the final exams successfully. Besides, some parents consider their children are not grown enough for making journeys themselves.  I strongly disagree with that because teenagers should have the possibility of travelling experience. It would be very useful.

All in all, I can conclude that making school trips get pupils a chance to enlarge their knowledge about the world around them.
