Soon we’ll celebrate a great holiday – Victory Day. Every year War veterans in large cities and small villages come together to celebrate Victory Day. They traditionally go to the War memorials to honour the memory of war heroes. Our country lost more than 40 mln . of people in that war and saved the world from fascism. We should never forget those who gave their lives for our Motherland

The War …It’s death, pain, losts and tears. Broken lives, which will never see the sun, will never hug the children, will never feel the mother’s care, will never support their wives and husbands. This is the end, for them, for those who died. But not for us, for us this is a victory through tears. This Victory D ay is a great day!!

Petr Zakharov is the brother of my great-grandfather . He fought in the War with his son (we can see them in the this picture). Petr was the battalion commander.After War they returned to our Motherland with Victory. We are proud of them because we should never forget those who gave their lives for our Motherland

We are proud of our veterans. . It has been more than 70 years ago, but we know and remember those who have died for us, who have given us life and hope for the peace and love.
