Comment on the following statement:

There is no use reading detectives.

What is your opinion? Do you agree with the statement?

Write 200- 250 words

-  express an opposing opinion and give 1-2 reasons for this opposing opinion

-  explain why you don’t agree with the opposing opinion

-  make a conclusion restating your position

Some people think that reading detectives is  really  a useful thing. Others argue that detectives are stupid and reading them is just wasting of time. Let us consider pros and cons of it and try to find the truth.

As for me, the first opinion is much better than the second one. Firstly, detectives make our brain stronger and develop our mind and logical way of thinking. Secondly, we can learn lots of lessons from the detectives, which will help us how to act in different life situations. And thirdly, detectives assuredly entertain us. We can escape to the another world reading a detective story. We can be a victim or  a detective, or be an observer, just sitting in the chair.

Others can say that it is useless to read the detectives. And we could do many useful things instead of reading them. They say that detectives are boring and stupid,and do not give any benefit to us.

I opposed of this opinion because detectives help us sometimes even more than classics. They more simple for our brain and more available for understanding. The detective stories give us not only entertaining but also food for thoughts and experience.

In conclusion, I would like to say that our world needs such type of books anyway. And if you still think that detectives are stupid, just try to read Arthur Conan Doyle's stories - you will understand everything.
