I was born in the family of teachers. My grandfather, grandmother and my mother are teachers. Since I was a small girl, I could see my mother getting ready for her lessons, checking pupils’ copybooks all nights long. She was working magic at her lessons. I saw how much she cared about the children and admired her endless patience and her desire to work.

I believe that teacher is not just a profession; it is a special wonderful world. It is very hard but respected job. To my mind, a real teacher doesn’t just teach the subject, he teaches the whole child. He doesn’t only give the knowledge; he helps children to understand the world around them and helps to find their place in this world. Teacher supports us in a difficult situation and shares our joy when we are happy.

I realize how much difficult and responsible teacher’s job is, but I’m thinking to follow the footsteps of my relatives and to become a teacher in my future. However, unlike my relatives I’ll have to be the teacher of the future generation. So, I am asking myself “What is tomorrow’s teacher?” What traits of character and what skills should I develop in myself to become a good teacher in future? The matter is the modern life changes very quickly. The teacher has to bring up children ready for the life in our fast developing society. In my opinion, a good teacher of the future should use up-to-date teaching techniques; he has to be able to use computer and the Internet technologies in his work because information technologies are the part of our everyday life. Tomorrow’s teacher should develop children’s critical thinking in order to get them ready to consider the things happening in the world in the critical way. I think the teacher of the future will have more sympathetic relations with his pupils and will use more impersonal methods,  because he needs not just to impart the knowledge, he needs to awake their interest to study and to teach pupils to study by themselves.

To sum up everything, I can say that a good teacher of the future will need to use impeccable teaching techniques, to have infinite knowledge and energy, personal charm and endless patience. I understand that this job is one of the most difficult, but I will do my best to become an efficient teacher of the future.
