Russia and the world.

    I am  proud of the fact  I live in Russia. When I was a little girl I used to repeat happily that I was Russian. My country seemed to be a great kingdom which was full of love of my parents and friends. The cleverer I became the more I understood that this world is not so simple. And Russia is only a part of this big world.

   Russia... What do you feel if you hear this word? It is so difficult to describe this feeling because it is a mixture of happiness and pride, on the one hand, and pain and desperation, on the other hand.  Firstly, I enjoy the fact that my fatherland occupies one-seventh of the earth's surface. Secondly, it is rich in natural resources.  Thirdly, our culture abounds in names which are famous all over the world.

    Well, Russia is the largest and richest country of talented people. But why do I feel this pain realising that I live here? I am almost a grown-up but I can't still understand why the people of such a great country can be so poor and unprotected? Let's take my mum for example. I can only say she is a German teacher and you understand what my family can afford. When I think about our teachers and doctors I feel sorry and I am sure it is a shame for my country where the gap between the rich and the poor is so huge.

   In conclusion I'd like to say we can't choose our birthplace but if I could I would choose Russia kissed by God.
