My Dear Mum

In the life of every person there are moments when one feels lonely, depressed and gloomy. There is no one to talk about one’s problems, no one to share one’s grief and sadness, because no one can understand one’s sorrows as mothers do.

“Mother” is the first word a baby pronounces and this is the most important word for everyone. She is a person who gives not just birth but a piece of herself, bringing up her child, taking care of him, going through with him and shedding tears when he is unwell. She is the person who will never reject her helping hand in a difficult situation, never reproach even if you are not right.

Everyone thinks his mother is the best in the world. One can’t think otherwise and I in my turn would like to join those people and say that my mother is the personification of kindness, care and tenderness. For me she is the most beautiful, the wisest and the cleverest of all.

Very often in our life we behave wrong, unjustly and even cruel to the dearest people. We get angry when our opinions do not coincide, when we feel that our personal life has been trenched upon. But it’s very surprising to realize in the end how right they were. The point is that they will never suggest what is bad, they wish you only happiness.

I have understood that with time. There were moments when I took offence at my mum, did not want to talk to her because teenager is a very vulnerable individual that perceives everything in the wrong light. But I know that I would never wish another person to be my mum. And that is true.

One has to mention that a mother is a person who creates coziness and comfort at home. My mother is a true hearth keeper. She is a paragon of a wife and a mistress. She has “golden hands”. Any work done by her is worth admiration: whether it is just a simple supper or cleaning the house. She always has good taste in everything and I would like to be like her.

She has mild character and she is never able to offend a person, she is calm and she is always fair.

I would like to say a great ”Thank you” to my mum for being tolerant to me and the world around, for making a person of me and for giving me all a happy child should have.
