Pine tree
In addition to rare and amazing flowers, our region is also rich in trees. There are also many different trees in our village. One of the most beautiful and common trees is pine or common pine. Bird cherry
All children of our village adore another tree – bird cherry. In spring, this thin but spreading tree attracts everyone with its aroma. A large number of bees pollinate it, their buzzing can be heard everywhere. At the end of summer, all children eat cherry berries. And many housewives prepare jam, compotes from cherry berries. Every family has such tree in the garden in our village.
Poplar
There is a small park on the territory of our school. There are a lot of trees in this park, but most of all there are poplars in it. They stand out among all the trees by their height. Thanks to poplars, we understand that the long-awaited summer is coming or rather, thanks to poplar fluff. Many people are allergic to fluff, but children like it because it reminds snow and winter.

And 3 of them are listed in the Red Book of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The flowering period of lilies is June and July. The main beauty and the main trouble of lilies are their flowers. They attract everyone’s attention. People make bouquets of them. As a result, lilies are protected.
Milk-flowered peony
My speech will be about peonies. Many years ago, these flowers were mentioned in legends and myths of Ancient Greece, China and Japan. These flowers were named after the god Peon – the god of doctors. These plants attract with its juicy greenery, the beauty of flowers and an amazing aroma. Milk-flowered peonies are widespread in Transbaikalia. Peonies are exceptionally decorative. You can see these flowers in forest clearings, meadows and steppes. There may be about 30 flowers on one plant. Peony roots are widely used in Chinese medicine and in folk medicine in different countries. In our region, peonies are protected, as animals trample it. These beautiful flowers are in the Red Book of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Today I would like to share with you information about large-flowered platycodones. Another name of this flower is wide bell. The main feature of this plant is the blue bell flowers. Platycodones can be seen in China, Korea, Japan, and, of course, in the Far East in Russia. In our region we can find these wonderful flowers on the rocks, in the mountain steppes, in the lawns. Platycodone is a medicinal plant. The roots of this flower are especially valuable. Platycodones need protection, so these flowers are in the Red Book of our krai.

This flower has a lot of different names, such as hairy, goritsvet. But the official name is starodubka. And I would like to tell you about this flower. The ancient legend said that in memory of her beloved, the goddess Aphrodite grew a flower from the blood of Adonis, which blooms every spring and looks like a light among green leaves. There are 2 types of starodubka which grow in the Trans-Baikal territory. Starodubka is an ancient medicinal plant. It has been used in Russian medicine since the 16th century. Starodubka blooms beautifully, so people tear it into bouquets. The problem of protection of this amazing flower is still relevant, despite the fact that it is listed in the Red Book.

I would like to introduce this unusual flower. Baikal helmet got its name for the upper part of the flower, similar to a helmet. In Zabaikalsky Krai there are 5 kinds of helmet. But the most interesting is Baikal helmet. Its flowers are blue-purple. These flowers start to bloom in early July. Baikal helmets most often grow on rocky slopes and flat steppes. This flower is the most valuable medicinal plant. It is widely used in Chinese medicine. One of the ways to protect Baikal helmet is the creation of industrial plantations. This flower is also listed in the Red Book.
