Attitude to people with disabilities in Russia Our state arranges pensions, rehabilitation centres and additional payment for people with disabilities. But most people treat them negatively and disrespectfully , as if they were n’t people, but something else.

Unfortunately , most Russian people are not tolerant of people with disabilities. They speak directly without thinking about other people’s feelings. But luckily, now there are many organisation s for the protection of people with disabilities . Th e s e organisation s help unhealthy people to live better and try to make new friends.

Attitude to people with disabilities in the USA and Europe In the USA and other countries people are more tolerant. There are more than a hundred associations of disabled people . The d isabled are not so disadvantaged in the USA and in Europe as in Russia . The Americans talk more reserved and try not to hurt the feelings of them . It is very important for them.

Way s of solution We think that people in Russia and other countr ies should be more tolerant and attentive. Here’s what we suggest to do: To teach children to be kinder to those who are different from them. To build more centres for people with disabilities. To help people with disabilities to live normal lives and be happy . To let children with disabilities to study at usual schools. To ensure their access to culture, leisure, sports activities, employment and transportation.
