One of the great civilization was the Aztec empire. It was the really sophisticated and smart culture with high knowledge of astronomy and military strategy. The empire extended their power by a combination of trade and military conquest . The Aztec came to the Valley of Mexico from the north of USA. Their lands extended from Chiapas and Guatemala and spanning from the Pacific to the Atlantic oceans. They lived there from about XIV to XVI century.

The Aztec civilization had a rich mythology and cultural heritage. In 1487 the Aztecs reported that they sacrificed 84,400 prisoners for four days. Some of them considered it an honor to be sacrificed. In one legend, the warrior Tlahuicole was freed by the Aztecs but eventually returned of his own volition to die in ritual sacrifice.

How did they look like? The height of men was from 155 to 165 cm. All of them were strong and very hardy. Women look much slimmer. Their average height was only 142 cm.

Collapse the Aztec civilization As the Maya civilization, the Aztecs were not able to survive the drought . They were in the process of deep political and economic crisis . Their rivers mostly dried and water for drinking and agriculture ran out. Also, one of the reasons for the disappearance of the great Aztec civilization was the conquest of the region by the Spanish conquistadors in the XVI-XVII centuries.

What lesson can we learn from them ? We should protect nature and doesn't treat it as consumers. We should keep the world around us, and help to do the Earth cleaner and better together !
