Conclusion: Phraseological units are word-groups that cannot be made in the process of speech, they exist in the language as ready-made units. They are intertwined with other lexical items. The best way to teach idioms is to treat them as new items and encourage the learners to guess their meaning from the context and situation. Knowledge of phraseological units can promote language fluency Thus, learning p hraseological units is important as they are an integral part of the English language vocabulary which add a vivid expressive colouring to any written or oral utterance .
