Ludmila Belova was born on 12 July, 1916 in the town of White Church. In 1932, she married Alexis Pavlichenko . In 1937 she entered the historical faculty of the Kiev State University. From the first days of the war Lyudmila Pavlichenko went to the front as a volunteer.

The front rolled with terrifying speed, and the soldier of the 25th Infantry Chapayev’s Division Lyudmila Pavlichenko soon had to fight with the nazis on the outskirts of Odessa, where short time ago she was engaged in scientific work .
