I. The Queen in the Parliament The Queen in Parliament - the official name of the British legal system, which consists of the Queen, the House of Lords and the House of Commons . The House of Commons, the majority of the members of which usually supports the ruling party, has the greatest political power. The Queen on the advice of Ministers has to approve all orders.

II. The Queen and the Prime - Minister The queen still has some significant rights, such as the right to appoint the Prime minister. The Prime Minister is usually appointed by the leader of the party that won the election, but in exceptional circumstances, the Queen may appoint a prime minister anyone else.

Until the 17th century monarch and the Privy Council represented the government, and parliament's role was to allocate money to state and monarchic needs. Today, the Privy Council has limited powers.
