Victory Day Victory Day is not only a great holiday for all Russian people, but also for my family. Every year it is celebrated on 9th May. This patriotic holiday commemorates the victory of the USSR over fascist Germany. In 2015 year we celebrate 70th anniversary of Victory in the second World War.

My ancestors are a part of history… Victory Day is a wonderful holiday in my family. My great-grandfather Vasili Prudnikov took part in the second world war. He was a driver on the rocket installation « KATYUSHA » . Vasili Sergeevich was at the victory in Berlin in 1945. My great-grandfather Vasili Prudnikov has a lot of awards. The most valuable award is The Order of the Red Star

I’m proud of my grannies and granddads. My grandma Raisa Prudnikova was a nurse during the Great Patriotic War. My great-grandpa Vasili Repin was a sapper and his wife (my great-grandma) was a worker at the factory.
