When it comes to talent, people get divided into two parts: some of them suppose that talent is something you are born with, while the others insist it is the result of the work done. But what talent really is? Is it given to you simultaneously with your birth or is it something that can only be raised inside you by yourself?
Doubtless, there are some people, who are more gifted than the majority of human beings. For instance, one cannot deny that such people as Maria Callas and Robertino Loretti were never ordinary ones. Their talents were impossible not to remark even in their childhood.
On the contrary, there are much more people, whose success in a certain sphere was the result of many years of hard work. For example, neither Marie Curie nor Emmeline Pankhurst would have become so well-known as a physicist and a politician if both of them had not been really persistent.
In my opinion, talent cannot be defined as either just a gift of the result of work. I assume that both are essential. I have always been interested in painting. Some people even say I am talented in it. Anyway, I am sure that despite the talent, without years of self-developing my paintings would have been nothing like they are now.
To sum up, talent is not about your skills or your endeavor only. It is a child of both of them.
The twentieth century appeared an arduous period in Russian history. Our country got a lot of wars and revolutions over.
The Second World War was an ordeal for the Soviet Union. It was the most dreadful and damaging conflict of the century.
For the Soviet Union the war started on the 22nd of June. The German army crossed its state borders without declaring war. Soviet citizens were astonished with the news.
Despite the first reaction people from all the country got together immediately to fight with the enemy. All men aged 18 were sent to the front. Women went there too as volunteer soldiers or nurses. Those, who did not go to war, started working at the factories and growing up the harvest to make bread for the warriors. Teenagers were organizing their own detachments. Later, a lot of those people were made into heroes.
The war is a tremendous example of unity in hard times. People of different cultures were fighting for their motherland bravely for almost 4 years. Some of them returned, and some of the waiting relatives received triangular letters only...
There are now obelisks standing on the graves. The names of some warriors are written on the monuments, and some of them just lie in the ground unknown. All the people gave their lives away for their country without hesitation. And I just want to say as an invocation: let it never be repeated!
