Introduction: The world of music is around us. Music can’t leave us indifferent or it can provoke powerful and complex feelings. So music plays a very important role in people’s lives. It reflects our mood and emotions. Music is an essential part of everyone’s life. I can’t imagine a person living without music. We can listen to it at home, at work, in the car or even while walking along the street.
The world of music is around us. The first important Russian composer was Mikhail Glinka (1804—1857) who added religious and folk elements to classical compositions. Glinka , Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Balakirev, Borodin and Cesar Cui used Russian folk music and tales. We have great composers ^Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and in the 20th century Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Scriabin and Shostakovich.
Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka was the founder of Russian classical music and the first Russian classical composer who reached international fame. He is known for such works as" Evening Moscow", "Ruslan and Lyudmila". (1804—1857)
Alexander Borodin, one of the leading Russian composers of the second half of the 19th century, in addition to his talent as a composer, was a chemist, physician, teacher, critic and had a literary talent. He is known for the work "Prince Igor". (1833—1887)
Modest Petrovich Musorgsky is one of the most brilliant Russian composers of the 19th century, a member of the Mighty group. Innovative Musorgsky's music is far ahead of its time. He is known for his works "Marriage" and " Mlada» (1839—1881)
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, perhaps the greatest Russian composer of the 19th century, raised Russian musical art to unprecedented heights. He is one of the most important composers of the world classical music. Tnaicovsky is known for such works as" Queen of spades", "Nutcracker", "Sleeping beauty". (1840—1893)
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov is a talented Russian composer, one of the most important figures . He is known for the works "snow maiden", "Sadko", "Christmas eve". (1844—1908)
Alexander Skryabin is a Russian composer and pianist, one of the brightest figures of Russian and world music culture. He is known for the work "Dreams". (1872 - 1915)
Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninov - the world's largest composer of the 20th century, a talented pianist and conductor. He is known for the work "Bells". (1873 - 1943)
Sergei Prokofiev is one of the largest Russian composers of the 20th century, pianist and conductor. He is known for the work “The Tale of the stone flower“ , “Alexander Nevsky.» (1891—1953)
Igor Stravinsky is one of the most great composers of the 20th century, the leader of Neoclassicism. Stravinsky became a «mirror» of the musical era ?He is known for his work "the Holy Spring". (1882-1971)
Balakirev Miliy Alekseevich - the largest Russian composer whose works still do not lose their relevance .He is known for the work "Tamara". (1837-1910
So , music takes an important place in life of everyone. It accompanies us everywhere. We have got many great composers .And I am very proud of this fact.
For several years I go to a music school and learn to play on the flute. I like classical music. I often perform at school concerts and play the works of great composers. Maybe I will continue to do music after school. I would like to become a composer and create movie soundtracks.
Most composers begin by either inventing themes or melodies that are developed for one or more instruments, or by setting words for one or more voices. Sometimes, as with operas and choral works, both voices and instruments are used. Mixing them so that all are heard is a difficult job.
The music is written out in a score. A symphony can last up to an hour, or an opera up to three hours. Composing can be hard work. Many composers like to write music sitting at the piano so that they can play the tunes as they work on them.
Composers of orchestral music write a complete score, which includes the instrumental parts played by every section of the orchestra. Each member of the orchestra uses a line of the score showing only the music for his or her instrument.
Serious music is often called classical to recognize it from popular music. However, for me, classical music is the music composed in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Classical composers extended the harmony and forms of the Baroque era. The symphony developed in this period. I like symphonies of Joseph Haydn who created 104 works.
My favorite composer is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He wrote chamber music, symphonies, and concertos, as well as great operas such as The Magic Flute. My other favorite composer is Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. He was unhappy in his personal life, which brought great emotional depth to his music. He wrote many well-known ballets and symphonies, including the famous "Swan Lake".
