What we can do ? Don`t drop litter. Someone has to pick it up! We can recycle our empty bottles. Water is important, so don`t waste it. We can use bicycles.

We got a letter from Cody. And this letter about problems on the Hawaii`s beach. Hi! I`m Cody and I`m from Hawaii. My island is beautiful, but after a bad storm there is a lot of plastic rubbish on the beach. There are lots of animals in Hawaii, especially seagulls and turtles. If they eat the plastic, they get ill. Most of the rubbish on the beach comes from boats. Remember, if you drop rubbish in the sea, animals die! We should all look after our planet. If we are careful with our rubbish, we can help the environment. At home and at school we recycle paper and reuse plastic bags. Why can`t other people do the same ?

Bicycle revolution ? Our town has a traffic problem : lots of cars, lots of traffic jams and lots of pollution from exhaust fumes. So I propose to use in our city more bicycles. Other cities such as Paris have been using this idea. The bikes might help people to lead a healthy life . There aren`t any simple answers to traffic problems and pollution in cities. But unless we do something now, there will be more traffic jams and temperatures will continue to rise, so the problems in our environment will get worse.

There are many organizations in which people help the environment. They are called eco-helpers.
