The Future Olympic Games

Olympic Games have been held since ancient times. While they were been  held wars were forbidden. Olympic Games are very important  because they promote friendship between countries.

         I am glad very much that some years ago Russia was chosen as a place for Winter Olympic Games. Olympic flame will be raised on Everest and will lowered to the botton of Lake Baikal. I am proud  very much that it will be carried through my city. I will certainly go to see it and take a lot of pictures to show my relatives and friends in other towns of Russia and abroad.

         I’m not a profession sportsman, but I enjoy playing volleyball, badminton, cycling and skiing. There are many kids in our form who have been doing  sports professionally for a very long time. They play volleyball, football, basketball, tennis, hockey, swim and go in for gymnastics. Some of them have made a great  progress and won a lot of  medals.

         I can’t go to Olympic Games in Sochi because it is very expensive, but I will certainly watch sports events on TV. Particularly I will watch figure skating because I like it most of all. My favourite sportsman is Eugeny Pluschenko. He is an Olympic champion. He has won Olympic Games 3 times in 2002, 2006 and 2010. He has been a world champion for 3 times already. He has won the European champion for 7 times and he has become the champion of Russia 10 times.

       Unfortunately, I’m 15 years old , but if I were 18, I would be able to become a volunteer in Sochi and go there to work free. Besides, I could practise my English there.
