The stages of the project
Joel Chandler Harris (1848 –1908) " My desire to write—to give expression to my thoughts—grew out of hearing my mother read The Vicar of Wakefield” "…in the matter of writing the African-American dialect, he is the only master the country has produced." Mark Twain "His tales ran like wild fire through an English Public school.... [We] found ourselves quoting whole pages of Uncle Remus that had got mixed in with the fabric of the old school life” Rudyard Kipling
Brother Fox Made the Wonderful Tar-Baby
Results We created a script of the play “Brother Fox and Brother Rabbit”. We dramatized the tail and showed it . We made a film. Summary It’s very difficult to create a script, but it's very interesting. It’s important to find a compromise! You can find some good advice in every tale: Never say die! Keep smiling even when chips are down! He laughs best who laughs last!
